He was on Trunk just recently where he stated that this is his best solo album, both musically and lyrically. I find that hard to believe. As much as I love his music, I never rated him that highly lyrically, especially post-Marching To Mars.

He sounded, at least by his standards, a bit downbeat in that interview. He won't tour in 2023 and wasn't sure how he will continue from this point on forward. But he made it very clear that there won't be a farewell tour. He will stop playing live whenever he feels the time is right.
