Great record by an incredible guitarist. My fav song off this record is S.R.V., a tribute song to Stevie Ray Vaughan that features Vaughan's brother Jimmie.
Discovered Johnson back in the day when Tones was released. His next record, Ah Via Musicom, is probably my favorite. I saw him live three times in the 80s, then again in the early 2000's. All we're fantastic.
Those three records - Tones, AVM and Venus Isle - are must-haves for any collection.
