Hi Scott,
Most diehard Angels fans love the earlier recordings with Doc Neeson ... specifically Face To Face and Dark Room. My preference is for some of the later Doc records ... Two Minute Warning (my first Angels record) and Skin & Bones (their last with Doc). The live Live Line 2-cd set is a fantastic overview of their material and a must-have in my opinion.
The two CDs of original material with Gleeson are good, but not where I would start. Hope this helps.
