I think the tough part of your question is the "...that I considered at some point..." part.
There are a number that I never really considered buying that I'm glad I didn't buy ... VH 3, Kneedeep In The Hoopla, anything by Poison).
Ones that I "considered buying but didn't" is much tougher. Here are a couple that came to mind that I saw in the import record section back in the early 80s before anyone had heard of these bands:
- Motley Crue - Too Fast For Love
- Metallica - Kill 'Em All
Didn't think either band would be big ... obviously missed on that. But neither record or band did anything for me when I heard them later.
