I knew mentioning Survivor (and REO) wouldn't be popular. For me, it was all about what came before. Eye Of The Tiger for Survivor and Nine Lives/Tune A Piano for REO were great rock records to my ears. It was tough to see/hear the bands venture into more of a pop direction. Of course, that's where the money was.

You could maybe say Night Ranger went in this direction, too, when you consider how Dawn Patrol rocked.
