Great topic Figge.
I remember when Robin George's Dangerous Music came out. Loved it for the most part. Put it on recently and it didn't do much for me now.
As far as my list of overrated AOR recordings:
Notorious -- continuing the Robin George theme. I was a big fan of Borrowed Time and Canterbury by Diamond Head, plus liked Dangerous Music, so I should love Notorious since it featured Sean Harris and Robin George? Well, I didn't. In fact,even though I got the cd for $2.99, I still felt ripped off.
Survivor: Vital Signs, When Seconds Count, Too Hot To Sleep ... Really loved the recordings with Bickler. All of them rocked. When Jimi Jamison joined, they lost their edge ... kinda like REO did with Hi Infidelity. Of course, Sullivan and Peterik got rich off those records (I assume), so I'm sure they were ok with it.
