I didn't think Joanne Shaw Taylor was popular enough to command those sorts of prices. If it's not a mistake, it's a massive hike from the previous ticket price. I know the cost of everything has gone up but that's mad. Is she using a gas powered backline or something ? :-)

As for the cd prices, the H.E.A.T album was £19 + when first listed on Amazon and it's still overpriced after the discount they're offering now.

The new Orianthi is currently listed at £20.31 and that album is literally just over 30 mins long.

Unless the label specifically catagorises a release as an ep, cd's will be charged full price regardless of how long the running time is.

They'res always been dodgy pricing structures with cd's eg releasing double albums when all the music could fit on one cd, and charging a higher price because it's a double.

Charging extra for a 'deluxe' edition.

Sometimes it can be best to wait for price drops but there's always the chance pressings could sell out and then you ending paying more or losing out.

It's a bloody lottery at times.
