I'm definitely not as deep the into prog rock as many people here. I have a few bands such as Dream Theater that I like, but even with them, I can only listen to a few songs before I'm switching to something more commercial that I can sing a long with. I'm more into great vocals and catchy choruses than long instrumental breaks and guitar solos. I like 4 bar solos for the most part. Sometimes 8 bar is good if it's done as interesting as Night Ranger does it. But if they go over 8 bars, chances are they are going to find themselves in the cutting room of my sound forge studio! LoL
