I'd rank it second among the four post-reunion albums. "Finger on the Trigger" and "Holy War" are fantastic cuts and, as you say, there is a maturity and wisdom to the songwriting.

For me, XXX is far superior and would rank as an equal to Alpha (still trailing the debut). Everything comes together on that album.

At one point after Wetton's death, Downes said he was hoping to rework or release some of the material he and Wetton had been working on, but I haven't heard any confirmation of that recently.
