As a Liverpool fan I'm happy for Rafa and wish him all the best. I think most our fans feel that way, although there's always the odd idiot. In terms of what fueled any bad blood, I think the 'small club' jibe (which I felt was petty and unnecessary at the time) when he was Liverpool manager provoked a lot of lingering anger. Although there's nothing like a switch of allegiance to trigger selective amnesia and for all to be forgiven!!

I see Duncan Fergusson is going to remain as part of his coaching staff. Is this because he's a great coach, knows the club inside out, brings the necessary passion, or because there's no one there who's crazy / suicidal enough to tell him he's sacked ;-))))
