Great thread! Really makes one think.
If you were aiming for a very rock-oriented audience to sell to then maybe John West vs. Jorn Lande doing Bohemian Rhapsody. Andre Andersen to do the arrangement and Dream Evil and Royal Hunt to play the music.

More mainstream?
