So when can we return to gigs?

Reading some of the views posted on the topic below about Genesis moving their tour again, I got more than a little depressed.
I hope that I'm not being naive and I'm not trying to be controversial, but I'm more optimistic in believing that it will be possible to attend gigs (and sport!) again in the autumn of this year, at least in the UK.
Because this shit that we're all going through - with no gigs, no sport, no pubs, no travel, no nothing - has to end at some point. Of course I understand and fully support why we have to accept these restrictions right now, but when the elderly and the vulnerable get vaccinated, then life has to return to something almost normal, although perhaps with a facemask and a "proof of vaccine".
The alternative is (even more) economic meltdown and - at risk of sounding like a nasty right-winger, which I promise you I'm not - an unacceptable infringement of personal freedoms. In the UK at least, with first jabs already administered to 80% of over-80s, and now moving on to over-70s and the vulnerable, why can't that be by the Autumn? Just sayin'...
