Agree. I'm not sure how much of it is Viv's fault though in terms of not feeling like he's fit in. I just really don't think he's been given much of a creative voice in the band.
Either way, definitely right on them needing to crank up the heaviness. I really dug Wings of An Angel on the last album....That's the style of stuff I'd like to see them doing more of these days. Then mix in a couple upbeat, commercial melodic rockers and a token ballad and they could have a solid album.
Instead they continue to mess around with stuff like Man Enough, Sea Of Love, Battle Of My Own, Blind Faith, Energized, etc. At least for me, all those tunes are easy skips.
