Mk1. I know I'm in the minority here but this is my favourite lineup. Psychedelic blues rock with my favourite of their singers, who has been slated for absolutely no reason. Went on to form Captain Beyond who produced two of the best albums of the 70s.
Mk4. Bolin made them a dream team for me, it's just such a shame he had so many demons and couldn't cut it live, although the Russian Format album is superb.
Mk3. Strormbringer is one of my favourite dp albums, Burn not so much but this line up kicked some serious booty live.
Mk2. There is no denying this is the classic lineup who made some great music, I'm just not a fan of Gillans voice as much as the others. Made in Japan is however a classic of a live album.
The rest..... gave up after the reunion, but if I'm missing anything re-educate me.
Mark Hollis was a genius
