My music buying has now spanned more than 55 years: from the mid 1960s right up to now. So much has happened between then and now and today I find myself surrounded by the shelves of my music library with a backlog of as yet unheard CDs!

So, that is a quadzillion miles away from the teenaged boy heading into Percy Prior's record emporium in High Wycombe to buy the latest obscure 45 by the Art Woods, the Birds, the Zephyrs, the T-Bones etc etc. Then came the psychedelic revolution......

Both were/are a feature of my music obsessiveness and both are a part of who I am. So, can I choose? Not really....but an interesting question to ponder.
