Those truly were heady days,BUT... i prefer now only because-- I want to know beforehabd if I want to spend my cash on any given release or not. You tend to save lots of money that way. There are way more bands and albums around these days than way back when. So buying everything on the basis of one song (or 2) now seems ludicrous. Even with bands I know I dig, I STILL want to pre-listen to anything I can to make sure it's gonna be worth owning. T PS: I have lots of albums,and some of them are NOT really worth owning. :-( Would never have spent the dough if I knew what they were like.
