I bought Ratt's Out Of The Cellar and Bon Jovi's first album on import on the same day in Feb 1984. Played both of them to death. I still think the Bon Jovi debut is their best although I've found something to like on every album and have them all, except the latest which won't be added to my collection unless I find it for pennies.
Saw them in 1985 when they did their first headlining tour with Lee Aaron supporting. I've seen them on five tours since 85 and they were always great but by the last time I saw them in 1996 at Maine Road Stadium they'd pretty much become too predictable with their set list and I made the decision to not go to any more of their gigs going forward. I don't have the love for the band I used to have and they haven't made a great album for far too long. Sadly their ship has sailed and I can't see them ever getting any kind of magic back.
