If I had to hazard a guess, you really like the big wall-of-sound production they had on that album, particularly on "Go" and cuts like that. I like Astra, too, but VASTLY prefer the melody but with a bit more instrumental nuance as on the debut and Phoenix and pretty much all the ones with Steve Howe as an integral member. I wish he'd stayed with the beefier guitar tone of the first album, though. Also, it was a mistake for them to not get in some of his writing contributions to "Alpha," It needed that for balance, even though their very best songs are often Wetton/Downes tunes.
