Exactly. Biden really wasn’t anyone’s first choice- but if you wanted to get rid of Trump he was the best option. Sadly there was no other candidate in the Democratic field that could appeal to a broad enough cross section of the electorate. The Republicans/ Trump knew it too- Biden was the one guy they didn’t want to have to run against.
