I left that area in the early 80's but remained close due to friends and family but sorry, no I don't recall that band.

It's frustrating when you can't remember stuff - I went to a gig at the Manchester Free Trade Hall around that time where I distinctly remember the support band at the end of their set announcing that they were off to Jilly's to get pissed and suggested that the audience skip the main band and do the same.

I didn't, but can't for the life of me remember who either of the bands were ;-)
