I will always back up Butch and what he does. I have loved his music since I first heard it - Ready Sex Go was the first album and I still love it, especially in the car. LoSC was and is a great follow up - some many cool lyrics and melodies. Letters I was not hot on when it came out but it grew on me a lot - I think it is likely his best album. Let's Go Out was a great party album and liked that on first listen. Sycamore Meadows was good to with three or four really good tunes
Even the 1973 album was cool in a movie soundtrack sort of way. The Spade is a great rock n roll cd as is Stay Gold...I struggled a bit with Afraid as it was coming from a low place for him - but still some great songs on it just not listened to it much to be honest.
I usually listen to a playlist I have of his stuff which is like 3 or 4 songs from each of his CDs.
Pretty sure he has always been ahead of the game - certainly with RSG and LoSC - a couple of years later there were loads of soundalike albums....including stuff he worked on with Avril and Injected.
