.....but the talk of Rock Vocal Power got me revisiting Left Of Self Centered.
I was never a huge fan of it at the time, but these days I find it virtually unlistenable. It hasn’t aged well at all and the three preceding Marvelous 3 albums all put it to shame.
In fact, the Marvelous 3 albums are, for me at least, easily the best things Butch has released as an artist. They all still stand up and sound current and the songs are brilliantly written.

Butch has always struck me as never really knowing what his own identity is as a musician, even to this day.
