Pissy little intro's that open an album!

Anyone else find these pissy little intro's that start an album a waste of time? I prefer they attach it to the 1st actual song of the album instead of a stand alone pointless 30 second atmospheric guitar build up or keyboards or beating drums to open the album with.
I love the new Pretty Maids album, but the opening track on the album is a 30 second waste of time. I don't get it. Does anyone else feel this way? And are there any that actually work well where the instrumental intro is actually really cool? I think Motley have done a couple that work well with 'In The Beginning' and also 'T.N.T', however these were tied nearly to the theme of the records, so it made sense as a stand alone intro. I'd say also that concept albums you would probably expect a short intro of some description, however for a normal non concept album, for me it pisses me off when I see a 30 second stand alone intro song on the CD. Most of the time when I log the tracks into my computer, I delete them. Argh!
