Firstly, let me just say, Whitesnake are one of my all time favourite bands and Coverdale is one of my all time favourite singers / frontmen. However, there is a lot of people who have sung Coverdale's praises on the recent live performances and I just can't for the life of me see where they get it from! I have seen Whitesnake 18 times over the years and saw them 3 times on the recent UK tour and I can confidently say Coverdale is FUCKED!!!! He CLEARLY sounded like a strangled cat throughout the performances I saw. I can understand why people enjoyed the gigs from a party point of view and the band were indeed impressive but to say Coverdale was hitting all the notes is simply not true. I have heard bootlegs of some of the gigs too and it really hits home just how Cov just can't sing the 87 stuff anymore! He pulled off the early bluesy stuff back in 1997 but as a rock/metal singer he is surely finished. If u think Coverdale can still sing the likes of Bad Boys and Still of the Night etc live, then u must have shite in your ears.

Having said all that, I have no interest in seeing M3, Coverdale WAS always Whitesnake. Time to put the serpent to rest methinks.
