Glenn is one of my ultimate heroes, but I have as well grown bit tired with him by his output in recent years, starting with a solo album a year at the beginning of the millenium and then BCC, which I am not a fan of very much. Contrived vintage sound with a Glenn trying too hard, IMO.
Glenn's golden years for me were 85-86 with the Phenomena debut, Gary Moore's Run for cover and Sabbath's Seventh Star. He was amazing on those albums and they were my first encounters with him.
Purple is of course his most legendary work. As much as I love those albums, and Trapeze too, I was a toddler when they were released and didn't get into them until after my formative years mid-80:ies.
A very soft spot for his work on John Norum's Face the truth as well.
Had BCC been my first encounter with him I would probably look at those albums differently.
And now you have grown tired of me.. :-)
