Re: New Michael Sweet single, "Better Part of Me"

After listening to the new track a few times sporadically ... I grew tired of this single rather quickly.
To give credit where credit is due...the song in itself it rather good.
However, in all listens of this single - I could not tell whether or not this is a Michael Sweet solo track OR a Stryper track...and for my ears and mind - I should be able to at least attempt to distinguish between the two.
What is bothering me (so far), is that Strypers' No More Hell to Pay, Fallen, God Damn Evil are all in the same vein....which is good. But when Michael Sweets solo efforts One Sided War and Ten are all continuations of Strypers' last three albums...where is the uniqueness of said projects?
In this single, Sweet does not change the tone of the guitars and the overall harmonies...which sounds like a Stryper track....and a lot of it also can be said on One Sided War too.
So we'll wait and see on the next released single to hear if there is any true diversity or differences.
