Its funny...i always thought Vai suited Dave Lee Roth perfect...as evidenced on the 2 albums they did but SOTT was the total opposite. Great songs almost ruined by guitar overplaying. I still dig it tho but Vai was definetly the wrong choice. Plus coming off 1987 album was never gonna be easy.
