The whole “I was there and it sounded great thing” is a cop out too I’m afraid Terry. Fans caught up in the excitement and atmosphere of being at a show, as well as the varying quality of live sounds at some shows, is not the best way to judge how a singer actually sounds either.
Not saying JBJ should stop doing what he’s doing. More power to him for still being able too. But that doesn’t mean people shouldn’t voice opinions if they feel he’s not up to scratch. Which a lot of people don’t. It’s not just hardwired, Even the hardcore Jovi fans. I’m a regular on the Jovitalk forums and it’s much the same I’m afraid.
