Some good songs, some weak ones. The singer could hit notes, but the tone and nasal quality of his voice was really annoying at times. When the Heart Rules the Mind, Imagining, and the Jekyll & Hyde (plus Hackett's solo song) were pretty good as 80s prog. The Hunter and Toe the Line worked as more pop-oriented tunes. Album had a lot of slack at the beginning of Side 2. Production was truly awful - way too digital and shrill without any warmth and not enough bass.
