No Offense taken Jockster - We all have our own thoughts on Music and mine just like everyone else is just an opinion and we all know what they are like.
My Small point was that Maximes is open for 7 hours 9 - 4 and I am sure that within that time there can be enough of a variety yo keep everyone happy - Surely we can mix old with new - I know that Maiden and Ac/dc are not what a lot of people would expect and sometimes it does get boring hearing the same tracks ( listen to me - I was on the floor for them all), but after 2am a lot of people have already gone home and it really is the Die hard Rockers that are left and it does no harm to hear some classics to keep you going until the small hours - I mean I would rather hear Maiden than some AOR track that I have never heard and maybe only has one person on the Dance floor ( God, I have been in that situation many times ).
When I go to Maximes I know what I am going to get - I mean My favourite band is Metallica and I am also quite partial to a bit of Slayer, Manowar and Hammerfall, but I dont expect to hear them in Maximes - I expect to hear Melodic rock, stuff that makes you want to dance and drink.
So why dont we all give the DJ ( Steve ) a chance - see where it goes and then make up our minds.
So the next time you are at Maximes - Whay not ask for some tracks that you want to hear and see if it gets played.
I know I will be asking for the Darkness Next time, just to Piss People off.
Til Then
Drink Beer and Rock Hard.
