I knew of Lou through Black Sheep here in Rochester. Heard a couple, three cuts from the debut on the local long running rock station here,WCMF. payin' Yer Dues was the single from the debut, tho they released a song on 45 before the album. I actually got to see BS play live once. They came out to my hometown of Medina (about halfway between here and Buffalo) and played a show at the elementary School auditorium--of all places. It was odd seeing a hard rock band in my area back then (small town). They DEF had the Free vibe going on,and I wasn't real huge into Free (too blues driven for me back then). But they were solid and of course Gramm(atico) had a great voice even then. BTW-- some may not know that he started out as a drummer. In any event, when Foreigner's 'Feels Like The First Time' came on rock radio-- I knew who the singer was! ;-) T PS: got both BS albums on vinyl and a bootleg of them on cd.
