Actually . . . easily so. Coverdale did just a couple of solid new songs on Slip of the Tongue. And besides some good tunes with Jimmy Page, I don't think he's written ANY good songs since. That's right, the Whitesnake albums with Aldrich are almost completely devoid of any memorable material. Since Sykes did some very good work on the 2nd Blue Murder and on his solo albums, he wins by default.
