I was just thinking the same - the tape that Cheap Trick have used in recent years ....... it's goofy, it's stirring........or the really long drawn out Angel intro, If they were the opening act they'd have only had time for a brief keyboard solo before saying goodnight.
Obviously the Kiss rumble builds the anticipation before everybody joins in with the announcement then explosion, curtain drop & into the show.
