John Shanks and JBJ have both hinted that these aren't songs that have been dusted off from previous projects - despite initial reports that they were. In fact the fanatic Jovi fans on the Dry County message board hadn't heard of any of them before and there are some obsessive fans on there who know their stuff.
They seem to be songs JBJ was working on for the next album but decided they weren't good enough or suitable.
