MARK SLAUGHTER Gives 'Halfway There' Video Insight

SLAUGHTER vocalist MARK SLAUGHTER has released the first and second of a series of in-studio videos discussing and previewing tracks from the upcoming album 'Halfway There', in stores May 26 via EMP LABEL GROUP/AMPED, in Europe via EMP/SPV, and in Japan via Universal Music Japan/EMP out on May 10th, 2017.

Episode #2 features Mark discussing and previewing the album track "Supernatural", and tells the touching story of how a lost guitar belonging to late Slaughter guitarist Tim Kelly found its way home to make a guest appearance on the track and can be viewed here: https://youtu.be/uy9ntN2yfnY

'Halfway There' was produced and co-mixed by Slaughter with John Cranfield (AFI, Andy Grammer), with art by famed horror/album artist “Mister” Sam Shearon (Rob Zombie, Iron Maiden, KISS, Clive Barker).

Slaughter has also announced his first solo show to support Halfway There, Thursday June 22nd at The Gramercy Theatre, (with support from KIK TRACEE vocalist Stephen Shareaux) where Slaughter will be backed by bassist Jaymi “PINKBASSMAN” Millard, Guitarist Mike Himmel (Bret Michaels, Dug Pinnick), and his former VINNIE VINCENT INVASION bandmate, drummer Bobby Rock.
Mark Slaughter will also stay busy on the road with his namesake band SLAUGHTER, who will also play several US dates through 2017, including a performance at ROCKLAHOMA May 26th.

Slaughter frontman Mark Slaughter to release his new solo album "Halfway There" in Japan via Universal Music on May 10, 2017 and in Europe and the USA via EMP Label Group on May 26, 2017.
 
Says Slaughter: "We have been dropping hints for a while, but it is official. I have signed a deal with EMP Label Group, the record label owned by my good friend David Ellefson of Megadeth, who will release my new solo record Halfway There on May 26th in the US and Europe!! I'm so proud of this record, and can't wait for everyone to hear it!"

MARK SLAUGHTER Releases Debut Solo Album

SLAUGHTER has sold more than 5 million records worldwide.  The group has had numerous top hits on the Billboard charts such as, Fly To The Angels, Up All Night, Spend My Life, and Mad About You.  They also won the 1991 American Music Award for “Favorite New Artist.”
 
Slaughter has toured with KISS, OZZY OSBOURNE, POISON, DAMN YANKEES, and countless others.

WITH PROCEEDS GOING TO MILITARY RED CIRCLE FOUNDATION!
 

Nashville, TN. - This Spring Mark Slaughter released a new single, 'Never Givin' Up,' his first ever solo track outside of his multi-platinum band Slaughter, to rave reviews on radio stations across the country. And with legendary music producer Michael Wagener Mixing and Mastering it, Mark played all instruments on the track with the only exception being drums that were tackled by Mark Goodin.
 
Picking up traction on the charts, the tune salutes the military and all who have served, with a portion of the proceeds going to the Red Circle Foundation that assists families of the US Special Operations Forces.

Before the formation of his own group Slaughter, he fronted a local band Xcursion before joining the Vinnie Vincent Invasion in 1987,  with a huge hit song "Love Kills" that appeared on the Nightmare Before Elm Street 4 movie soundtrack in 1988. After that band disbanded in the late 1980s, two of its members, Dana Strum along with Mark, formed the group Slaughter.
 
Mark Slaughter was born in Las Vegas, Nevada on the 4th of July, and now makes his home in Nashville.  He has worked as a voice-over actor and composes music for television, movies and sports outlets, with credits including music compositions for Fox Sports, along with voice over ventures in productions like Batman Beyond, Bloodsport, and Animaniacs.
 
Slaughter formed a new band, Scrap Metal, which consists of other platinum-selling singers such as Gunnar Nelson (Nelson), Kelly Keagy (Night Ranger) and Eric Martin (Mr. Big).
 
In addition to the Red Circle Foundation, Slaughter actively participates in charity work including with St. Jude's hospital.
