MILLENIUM Feat. JORN LANDE Classic 'Hourglass' Album Reissued

Artist:

MILLENIUM Hourglass: The Complete Sessions

From the late-'90s to the mid-2000s, highly respected workhorse guitarist Ralph Santolla (Iced Earth, Deicide, Obituary, etc.) was the driving force behind four tremendous hard rock albums from his own band, MILLENIUM. Originally released in 2000 by Now & Then/Frontiers Records, the group's third and arguably most ambitious effort—the proggressive, metal-tinged, epic rock of Hourglass—was its only to include the wildlyy impressive talents of Norwegian frontman Jørn Lande (Jorn, Vagabond, Masterplan, etc.); not to mention keyboard contributions from Dag Stokke (TNT, Vagabond, etc.) and the legendary Don Airey (Rainbow, Ozzy Osbourne, Deep Purple, etc.).

Largely due to the spark of musical chemistry between Santolla and Lande—who instantly bonded over a shared love of similar music—Hourglass was the result of more collaborative writing sessions for the group. Recorded over the course of three months at studios as spread out as Manchester, England; Boverbru, Norway (Studio Studio Nyhagen); Tampa, FL (Morrisound Recording); as well as the band members' own homes; MILLENIUM additionally laid down several cover tunes by the likes of MSG, Rainbow, Sweet, and Jefferson Starship—only released as Japanese bonus tracks or yeaars later amidst The Best of... and More collection.

Predominantly well-received in Europe and Asia, limited shows supporting the release of Hourglass followed locally in MILLENIUM's home base of Florida; at the Gods of AOR festival in Wigan, England; and throughout a three-show tour of Spain with Ten and Elyte. At a certain point, however, Jorn—increasingly busy with other projects—am”amicably parted ways with the group, leading to the eventual return of their former vocalist, Todd Plant, and drawing this portion of the MILLENIUM timeline to a close.

17 years later, Divebomb Records is honored to bring this stunning segment of the MILLENIUM discography back to the fore with Hourglass: The Complete Sessions. Fully remastered by Jamie King at The Basement Recording, this 16-track collection finds the 10-song album and six bonus cuts from the era compiled onto a single 76-minute CD for the first time. All of which is housed alongside an extensive 20-page booklet featuring updated cover art, photographs, lyrics, and a memory-fueled interview with Ralph Santolla, conducted by Shawn Pelata (Final Sign, Oracle, etc.). For the fans, by the fans!

JORN Brings 'Life On Death Road' To Fans June 2

Artist:

Frontiers Music Srl is delighted to announce the release of JORN's brand new studio album, entitled “Life on Death Road” on June 2, 2017.

Easily one of the greatest rock singers of the 21st century, Norway's very own giant Viking warrior Jorn Lande’s vocals are resoundingly strong once again on his ninth original studio album, “Life on Death Road”! This absolutely brilliant new album sees Lande attacking the microphone with rejuvenated vigor, accompanied by a new band and a bigger and stronger sound.

“Life On Death Road” took several months of hard work for the songwriting vision to come together. Jorn needed to take the music to a new level to push the concept of the band further than it has ever gone before. The result is a record that is deep, strong, full of groove and powerful with anthemic songs aplenty! Songs like "Man Of The 80's", "Love Is The Remedy", "Life On Death Road", "Insoluble Maze (Dreams In The Blindness)", and "The Slippery Slope (Hangman's Rope)" capture the essence of Jorn as a singer, songwriter and lyricist.

Jorn says, "It's easily one of the best albums I've ever recorded. This was all about putting the right people together for the right result, and about taking the necessary time to work more thoroughly and in depth with the material we chose for the album. The older I get, the more I feel it is necessary to listen to my heart and look for that genuine and honest feeling that made me take interest in music in the first place. Back in the 70's and early 80's when I grew up, people and music were more free and so the presence of feeling and soul came more naturally and was expected from an artist or a band. This is the energy and craftmanship we've been looking for, but still keeping a pulse on the modern times we live in. "Life On Death Road" is an original album that is pretty much summing up the last 40-50 years of rock and metal and has become a hybrid modern heavy rock album without losing those tasty elements of a good aged wine. Regardless, we're all products of our time, and the feeling, soul and symbioses we've achieved for this album is a rarity in today's music world, so in that sense this album is a true old school sailors' "tall ship adventure". From start to finish it took us nearly three years to finalize and I'm really proud to say that this album is the proof that classic albums can still be made."

The album also marks the debut of a new lineup of very experienced and gifted musicians around the Norwegian singer. On bass is Mat Sinner (Primal Fear, Sinner) who needs virtually no introduction to European heavy metal fanatics. On keyboards and production is Alessandro Del Vecchio (Hardline, Revolution Saints), who already joined JORN for the recording of his last covers album, “Heavy Rock Radio” and was the glue that helped Jorn to create the feel and the direction for the new album. Francesco Jovino (Primal Fear) is on drums and Alex Beyrodt (Primal Fear, Voodoo Circle) handles guitar. Truly a recipe for a roaring success!

Jorn had no desire to do "just another" JORN record. The aim was to do the best record possible and it took almost two years of writing, arranging, and producing before wrapping this all up. The performances are thunderous across the board and you can hear the urgency of these songs in Jorn's singing!
Jorn's catalogue is getting too long to include in brief overviews and his innovative and creative skills as a vocalist and music visionary have led to him selling millions of albums worldwide while being a frequent entrant on sales charts around the world including Billboard. Worth a mention here though are his years fronting Masterplan, whom he recorded three albums with. He has also recently collaborated with the world's biggest online gaming company, Riot Games, providing vocals for the virtual band "Pentakill" in the game "League of Legends". Claimed to be the biggest selling Norwegian musical export since the pop band A-Ha, Jorn continues his rock crusade and there are no signs of him slowing down and “Life on Death Road” is a magnificent testament to his abilities!

JORN Preparing New Covers Record for 2016

Artist:

From JORN's Facebook page comes this album news update:

ALBUM IN THE WORKS -
Been recording some selected cover songs the last few months, and a new Jorn album is planned for an early 2016 release. I've recorded some of my favourite songs, and included a few that never had any obvious connection to the rock/metal scene, and hopefully it will give this album an unexpected twist. Naturally, I have also made sure to include a few great rock classics. The basic idea for this album was to choose some songs that meant something special to me when I was younger. That is why the variety of songs include everything from experimental pop of the 80's and 70's west coast music, to more classic heavier rock. I also wanted to go against the stream, as I'm tired of the political correctness that so many in the rock/metal world are concerned with.
This album is all about good songs and to record something enjoyable, making versions that are different, but at the same time a homage to the original artists. Music has many faces and expressions, and greatness lies within the song and it's performer, beyond style and category. Also, when you've been around for as long as I have now, it's liberating to go "off track" and try something different.
That said, my heart lies in rock music, but through the years I couldn't help thinking about how some great songs would sound if I tried to give them a certain "Jornish" flavour.
In the process I've had a list of 40-50 songs, but had to cut down to 11-12 tracks, which means I will probably have to do another album like this sometime in the future. Thinking about all the great songs that was ruled out, I already feel there are some unfinished business there, but we'll see what life brings. I usually prefer to work on my own songs, and when we started recording I thought it wouldn't be too difficult or time consuming, but man was I wrong! Maybe it's the greatness in the songs I chose that made me realize how great the original recordings are, and that people often take it too lightly when talking about recording other peoples work.
We've tried our best to make the songs our own, and some songs really worked out well, and I hope you'll like it. Album title, more info and artwork will be announced and uploaded very soon.
Merry Christmas everyone!
- Jorn

Swedish guitarist Magnus Karlsson (the man behind Allen/Lande, Starbreaker and more) returns with his second “Freefall” album, featuring another cast of all-star guests and powerhouse melodic metal/hard rock songs.
Following the acclaim of his solo debut, Magnus had a lot to live up to here. In my opinion, he does so with ease, even if this time the emphasis is slightly different than the first opus.

Kingdom Of Rock is just as powerful and as perfectly produced and mixed as the debut, but this is a more commercial record with a hard rock heart – even some powerful ‘melodic rock’. The metal edge has definitely been toned down.
Some of that has to do with the guest vocalists involved. All music and lyrics as well as everything but the drums (added by Jaime Salazar), plus all the production is from the hand of Magnus. That’s really quite extraordinary for an album of this caliber.

Kingdom Of Rock (Jorn Lande, vocals) is classic Magnus/Allen Lande and the perfect opener. Also my favourite track on the album just for Jorn’s killer vocal and the melodic hook in the chorus.
Out Of The Dark (Jakob Samuel, vocals) is something resembling The Poodles but all metal baby! Jakob’s voice stretches that bit further to hammer out a great hard rock song here.
No Control (Joe Lynn Turner, vocals) is JLT at his best also. The track is essentially a heavy melodic rock track with a great catchy chours.
When The Sky Falls (Tony Martin, vocals) is a slower, moodier and heavier track and Tony sounds brilliant. A nice melodic metal track that has a hint of Dio to it.

Angel Of The Night (David Readman, vocals) is another chunky hard rocker, this time with PC69’s David Readman controlling the sound. And as with the other tracks, Magnus let’s David’s personality shine through.
I Am Coming For You is another fairly commercial hard rock track, with Magnus himself on vocals. He really does have a good voice, he could easily carry this project by himself.
Another Life features current Masterplan vocalist Rick Altzi and swiftly manages to sound better than anything off the last Masterplan album.

Never Look Away is brilliant. Another fast moving melodic hard rocker, with the brilliant Tony Harnell delivering a Starbreaker friendly track. His voice and Magnus’ sound are just wonderful to hear each time. A great chorus takes it over the top.
A Heart So Cold could be one of the surprise tracks. Harem Scarem’s Harry Hess goes metal for this all-in rocker with a big chorus and even bigger vocals. Harry adapts brilliantly to the heavier sound and rips through this.
The Right Moment (Rebecca De La Motte, vocals) is a big symphonic ballad that could easily be on a Within Temptation or Nightwish album. Love it!
The album closes with Magnus on vocals again. I’m really enjoying the tone of his voice and Walk This Road Alone is a heavy, slightly progressive metal track that takes the album out on a heavy (and classy) note.

This is an easy one. If you have any Starbreaker/Allen Lande/MK produced album in your collection, then this is a buy or die release.
If you like melodic metal or hard rock with a heavy but melodic edge and can appreciate some of the best vocalists in the business doing their thing, this also demands buying.
A thoroughly enjoyable album that is consistently strong throughout, despite the use of different vocalists which can sometimes bring a project unhinged. Not on this occasion!

MAGNUS KARLSSON'S FREEFALL Returns With 'Kingdom Of Rock'

Swedish axeman MAGNUS KARLSSON is back with the second album of his solo project FREEFALL entitled “Kingdom of Rock”!
Out on Frontiers in November!

Frontiers Music Srl is pleased to announce the release of the sophomore album from MAGNUS KARLSSON’S FREEFALL “Kingdom Of Rock” on November 6th.

Magnus Karlsson is the mastermind behind several Frontiers Music Srl productions, including the successful initial ALLEN/LANDE trilogy, STARBREAKER, BOB CATLEY, KISKE/SOMERVILLE and several others. In 2008, he joined the German Heavy Metal icons PRIMAL FEAR and with them has toured the world and recorded three successful albums that climbed high on the charts in several countries.

For this new album – aptly titled “Kingdom of Rock” - Magnus enlisted again a dream team featuring some of the  strongest melodic singers in metal and hard rock! Magnus says: “I didn’t plan to make a second Free Fall album at first but one album wasn’t enough for my wish list of singers… so after the summer last year I started on some ideas. Without pressure or a deadline… just for fun. So I started to look at the list with singers and thought if can I get these guys on board I will work harder than ever before to make the best album I could. I wanted not only some of the best singers I ever heard, but singers that meant a lot to me and that have given me inspiration. For example: Tony Martin and Joe Lynn Turner… I grew up with their music and that made me the musician I am today. It feels unreal to make music with them now!“

The final list includes TONY HARNELL (Skid Row, TNT, Starbreaker), RICK ALTZI (Masterplan, At Vance), DAVID READMAN (Pink Cream 69, Voodoo Circle), JORN LANDE, JAKOB SAMUEL (The Poodles), JOE LYNN TURNER (Rainbow, Malmsteen, Deep Purple), TONY MARTIN (Black Sabbath), HARRY HESS (Harem Scarem) and REBECCA DE LA MOTTE. Rounding out the line-up on the album is Jaime Salazar on drums with production duties handled by Jacob Hansen (Volbeat, Primal Fear, Amaranthe, Pretty Maids and more).

Magnus says, “There is a lot more work in this album. Normally I don’t throw away good ideas. This time I skipped great ideas and replaced it with something better. I don’t want to do the same thing over and over. I want to do something better. I also had a bigger budget for the production and was able to work in great studios. Jacob Hansen did a fantastic job with the mix and mastering and the sound is just what I always wanted. This is not about having big names on the album, this is simply about making the best music I possibly can for the best singers I know!”

The final result “Kingdom of Rock” is a Melodic Metal blast which is truly one of the top releases of its kind in 2015!

It’s a “concept” album, so it automatically gets the “artistic license” accreditation allowing the artist to express themselves a little “differently” than expected. And while that’s certainly the case for this little outing. Crafted by former Wig Wam guitarist Trond Holter along with Jorn Lande, as far as concept albums go (apart from a few quirks), it’s pretty straight forward melodic hard rock.
It’s always great to hear Jorn at full force working with a different writer, as he stretches those vocals beyond the formula his solo albums have become.
He sounds fantastic on this album, utilizing his menacing voice to the power needed on such a concept dealing with the life of 15th century resident Count Vlad the III
, Prince of Wallachia, widely known as Vlad, The Impaler or by his patronymic name Vlad Dracul(a).
Jorn takes the lead role, singing with his usual power and intimidating snarl, even if he does look constipated throughout the video for the song Walking On Water – which for the record is one of the best lead vocals I’ve heard from Jorn in years.

The opening track Hands of Your God is also a belter, an imposing moody track that smolders along with Jorn in full control.
Swing Of Death is one of the few left turns, the quirky, burlesque, almost pop sounding song that has a very 80s commercial chorus. The metal ballad Save Me has a similar feel, Jorn joined on vocals by the heroine of the story, Norwegian singer Lena Fløitmoen (representing Mina/Lucy from the Bram Stoker book).

The straight forward and catchy rocker River Of Tears has a strong Wig Wam vibe running through it.
The epic Queen of the Dead has some brilliant guitar work, especially as the song explodes into the final minutes.
Under the Gun closes out the album with a pretty commercial, yet heavy statement, plenty of guitars and vocals from both singers.

Good stuff for all fans of Jorn. The album has that certain Wig Wam flair also, while employing a darker and heavier delivery.
The subject matter could have resulted in a very self-indulgent piece of music, but this little outing is surprisingly commercial and accessible for all.
Well produced, great vocals from Jorn and some likable songs rounding out a solid release.

Jorn Lande & Trond Holter present DRACULA - Swing of Death (Showcase)

Artist:
Running Time:
45
Release Date:
January 23
Released:
Worldwide
Genre:
Melodic Metal

Norwegian Rock Stars, singer Jorn Lande and guitarist Trond Holter (aka Teeny of WIG WAM), have created a new Rock Opera concept album about the life of Count Vlad the III, Prince of Wallachia, widely known as Vlad, The Impaler or by his patronymic name Vlad Dracul(a). The whole story explores the inner struggle inside the multifaceted and engorging character that this mysterious 15th Century personality was, while also taking into account some of the metaphysical aspects that passed into literature, forming the whole basis of the vampire mythos.

On the album Jorn Lande– who impersonates the main character Dracula - shares lead vocal duties with Norwegian singer Lena Fløitmoen (representing Mina/Lucy from the Bram Stoker book). The duets feature Dracula and his women, which in the original Bram Stoker story is centered around Dracula’s first true love Mina (when he was a human before he sold his soul to the devil and became a vampire).

The drama of the story reveals Dracula’s inner battle, where he still remembers what true love was, and as he wandered the Earth for centuries with a thirst for blood, his loneliness and desire to be able to love again has led him to the brink of insanity. In the original Bram Stoker version, he leaves Transylvania by ship and when he meets Lucy's best friend, she reminds him so much of his first love Mina, that he becomes obsessed. Dracula sees her as some kind of "holy grail", too good to turn into a vampire.

Musically, “Swing of Death” is not like a typical rock opera or musical, since it has no storyteller or long instrumental parts or intros. It is an album that gets to the point with no detours and even if it exposes some diverse musical landscapes, it does include catchy and melodic songs with commercial radio potential. Musical influences come mostly from Meat Loaf and Queen with the ghost of Alice Cooper thrown in plus some Classic and more contemporary Hard Rock elements. The lyrics are not limited to the old days of Bram Stoker’s era and could easily be a Dracula story of today.

Plans are being made to stage this entire Rock Opera on Norwegian theaters in 2015. More details will be revealed at a later stage.

Jorn Lande – Lead Vocals
Trond Holter – Guitar
Bernt Jansen – Bass
Per Morten Bergseth – Drums
Lena Fløitmoen Børresen – Duet vocals on “Under the Gun", "Into the Dark", "Save Me" and "River of Tears”

A new Allen/Lande release without mastermind Magnus Karlsson involved? Not sure about that. Timo Tolkki to take over as chief architect? Definitely know how I feel about that.
I came into this release – the 4th overall – with very low expectations. After Timo’s recent twin Avalon releases, I expected a bad production and some bland songwriting.
But I was wrong and I’m happy to announce that.
While I don’t think the album has the same wall of sound that Karlsson delivered or the same intensity in the vocals, it is still pretty good.

Interestingly, 6 of the 10 tracks feature just the one vocalist. Jorn on 3 and Russell on 3. Just 4 of the songs feature both vocalists and that’s a weakness of the album and shows how well Karlsson worked with both singers on all songs and intertwined their vocals on the first 3 records.

Thankfully the production is far better than the Avalon releases, with Dennis Ward brought in to mix the end results.
Anything featuring Russell Allen and Jorn Lande in full attack mode is going to appeal, so I’m glad everyone involved got it right.
Timo is responsible for writing all songs – with Jorn co-writing several with him. Timo is also responsible for the guitars, bass and keyboards. So it’s an impressive performance here and I’ll now expect more from him.

After 3 pretty similar releases (which I all rate highly), perhaps it is nice to hear these class vocalists at it once again, but with a different sound behind them.
The strong opener Come Dream With Me and the belting impact of the fast moving Down From The Mountain (both tracks featuring duel vocals) and In The Hands Of Time (featuring Russell) get the album off to the best possible start, with both singers in full fight.
It’s not until the quality metal ballad Lady Of Winter (featuring Jorn alone) do things slow down a little.
Dream Until Tomorrow is a song featuring both singers belting it out and is followed by another duet in the intense Hymn For The Fallen.

Russell closes the album with a pair of songs – one highly quality rocker and the other a powerful metal ballad called Bittersweet.

As much as I like the results here, I still haven’t played the album as much as I did the first three. I think the sonic impact of Magnus Kalrsson is the obvious missing ingredient here, plus the lack of interplay between vocalists, but otherwise, Timo far exceeded my expectations and this is still an enjoyable melodic metal / hard rock album worth of the Allen/Lande name.

The whole story explores the inner struggle inside the multifaceted and engorging character that this mysterious 15th Century personality was, while also taking into account some of the metaphysical aspects that passed into literature, forming the whole basis of the vampire mythos.

Jorn Lande – who impersonates Dracula, is the main character of the album and the female parts are sung by Norwegian singer Lena Fløitmoen (representing Mina/Lucy from the Bram Stoker book). It is an album that gets to the point with no detours and even if it exposes some diverse musical landscapes, it does include catchy and melodic songs with commercial radio potential. Vocally this release gives you everything from Jorn Lande’s past extensive catalogue all in one album. Jorn’s ability to be innovative and original while at the same time showing where his roots came from, is truly unique. Jorn and Trond’s musical influence when creating this epic masterpiece came mostly from 70’s era Meat Loaf, Queen, Alice Cooper, plus some other Classic and more contemporary Hard Rock elements. All mixed together with their own modern musical heavy rock style, Dracula “Swing of death” is something extraordinary. The lyrics are not limited to the old days of Bram Stoker’s era and could easily be a Dracula story of today.

ALLEN/LANDE - The Great Divide (Showcase)

Artist:

OUT NOW

The first chapter of Jorn Lande and Russell Allen’s collaboration, 'The Battle' was unleashed in September 2005 with unanimous acclaim from fans and critics alike.

Many websites and magazines named it 'Record of the Year'. Its success made it one of the most popular releases ever in Melodic Heavy Metal, thanks to beautiful, sweeping piano and keyboards, heavy guitar riffs, virtuoso guitar solos, hooky choruses and the vocal talents of two of the finest Heavy Metal vocalists around. Great part of the success of the release was also due to the multitalented Swedish guitar player and songwriter Magnus Karlsson (PRIMAL FEAR, LAST TRIBE, STARBREAKER).

In 2007 the second chapter entitled 'The Revenge' was released and met again with an amazing reaction from press and fans. Heavier and with a tighter production, thanks to the involvement of Dennis Ward (PINK CREAM 69, ANGRA, PLACE VENDOME) at the mix, the album excited the many fans who loved the first chapter. Another succesful followed in 2010 entitled 'The Showdown' which closed the trilogy.

Russell Allen is the singer of the American Progressive Metal band SYMPHONY X, who have released six studio albums and one live record so far. More than once SYMPHONY X received accolades such as 'Best Progressive Power Metal Band Worldwide' or awards for the 'Best Progressive Metal Album of the Year'.

Highly rated MASTERPLAN and vocalist JORN LANDE has a vocal capability that is world class, distinctive, rich and spanning a large range. He is in high demand and has appeared as guest or sung for such bands and projects as AVANTASIA, ARK, THE SNAKES and many others. He is also a well-known solo artist with various successful studio albums released, since the debut 'Starfire' in 1999.

The new album, entitled 'The Great Divide' sees a majors change in the formula since songwriting and production is now in the hands of Timo Tolkki, former Stratovarius member. After the success of the initial trilogy a fresher musical direction was needed by to move forward to the next Allen Lande and certainly this new album, while moving in the usual musical landscape, offers fabulous songwriting and as usual some incredible vocals from the two amazing singers.

ALLEN/LANDE - The Great Divide (Pre-View)

Artist:

Russell Allen and Jorn Lande team for their forth partnership with the album The Great Divide.

To be honest, I wasn’t looking forward to this, even with the first three albums from the duo all ranking highly in my reviews and my great fondness for mastermind/songwriter/guitarist/producer Magnus Karlsson.

One reason is because Magnus is not involved in this at all. And secondly because taking over from him is Timo Tolkki, who has recently delivered two poorly received Avalon projects, both falling short with production as well as song writing.

Now I don’t have the writing credits for this album yet, but I do know that Timo produced and mixed it and he’s on the way to redeeming himself.

Despite missing that full frontal audio assault that Magnus gives us with his guitars and production, The Great Divide still manages to pack a good punch thanks to a tight Dennis Ward mix.
It’s well produced and is almost as heavy as its predecessors. Guitars still rule the day.

Vocally the album is every bit as impressive as Jorn and Russell deliver their usually high standard in vocals. There is less interplay between the two singers overall, but it’s great to hear both singing quality material with gusto.

Timo also delivers in the songwriting department. There’s some great melodic metal gems here.

You’ve already heard the opening track Come Dream With Me (https://www.facebook.com/frontiersmusicsrl/posts/738891939500193), and some additional snippets via http://youtu.be/gezpefzBqIA.

That track is a pretty good indication of what’s to come on the record. There is some blistering rockers in Dream About Tomorrow, In The Hands Of Time and The Hymn To The Fallen.
Mid-tempo ear rattlers like Lady Of Winter and Solid Ground show off the guys at their very best and then there’s a huge metal ballad to close the album Bitter Sweet.

So lots to look forward to here. I’m going to spend some additional time with it before my final review, but initial fears have certainly been laid to rest.

The album is out October 17 in Europe and October 21 in North America. Pre-order from Amazon:

RUSSELL ALLEN / JORN LANDE Return With “The Great Divide” in October

Artist:

Jorn Lande and Russell Allen return with 4th ALLEN LANDE masterpiece “The Great Divide” in October

Production and songwriting by former Stratovarius mastermind, Timo Tolkki

Frontiers Music Srl is pleased to announce the release of the anticipated fourth album from ALLEN / LANDE, the vocal alliance between Norwegian Jorn Lande and powerhouse Symphony X / Adrenaline Mob vocalist Russell Allen entitled “The Great Divide” on October 17th in Europe and October 21st in North America.

Following three successful albums written, played and produced by Magnus Karlsson (of Primal Fear/Starbreaker), the new album “The Great Divide” offers a substantial change in that former Stratovarius guitarist and main composer, Timo Tolkki took on the challenge to write and produce the new recording. Tolkki also performs all instrumentation on the album except for drums, which are handled by Jami Huovinen.

Work on the album started in late 2013 when the first songs were demoed and sent to the two singers, who loved the direction of the new music. Also, for the first time, Jorn Lande has contributed vocal melodies and lyrics to the album. The final result is certainly outstanding and the crisp mixes from Dennis Ward (PC 69, Place Vendome, Unisonic) have delivered an amazing sounding album. Stunning cover art created by French artist Stan Decker completes the package of the most eagerly anticipated Melodic Metal release of 2014!

The opening track from the album, “Come Dream With Me”, is available for streaming via Soundcloud via this link: https://soundcloud.com/frontiersrecords/come-dream-with-me/s-k7ZzA and a 3-song trailer is available on Youtube via this link: http://youtu.be/gezpefzBqIA  Two more songs from the album will be unveiled in the coming weeks prior to the album’s release.

“The Great Divide” tracklisting includes the following songs: Come Dream With Me; Down From The Mountain; In The Hands Of Time; Solid Ground; Lady Of Winter; Dream About Tomorrow; Hymn To The Fallen; The Great Divide; Reaching For The Stars; Bittersweet.
