DIVINEFIRE was formed in early Spring of 2004 with the collaboration of Finnish composer and drummer Jani Stefanovic and vocalist Christian Rivel (NARNIA).
The duo was joined by bass player Andreas Olsson (NARNIA, ROB ROCK & STORMWIND), and they decided pretty soon that these members will be the holy trinity of DIVINEFIRE.
This band combines the heaviness from the more aggressive styles of metal with the melodies from the symphonic style of hardrock while also blending in beautiful vocal harmonies. The band signed a record deal with King Records in Japan where the album entitled “Glory Thy Name” was released the 18th of December 2004 and later through Christian Rivel´s own label RIVEL RECORDS on 18th of January 2005 in Europe.

In May 2005, RIVEL RECORDS signed a label deal with Georg Siegl at METAL HEAVEN in Germany and the album was re-released on July 18th, 2005 and then included the video for “The World's On Fire” as bonus track.

The chemistry works fine between Jani & Christian and new songs just exploded again like the first time they started writing material together. The 2nd album is entitled “Hero” and also includes a cover version of QUEEN's classic “The Show Must Go On”. Christian also invited Thomas Vikström (ex-CANDLEMASS) & Maria Rådsten to sing on this track. Maria is known for her vocal work in famous Swedish pop band ONE MORE TIME who topped the charts with the album “Highland” in the early 90´s.

Requests to see DIVINEFIRE live came in all the time. Jani, Christian & Andreas were now in the process to find the right members for the live show. Through studio owner Thomas “Plec” Johansson they found a new guitar hero named Patrik Gardberg and his guitar style is like John Petrucci, Michael Romeo, Yngwie Malmsteen and Steve Vai. On keyboards they were joined by Anders Berlin. Anders has been involved in various bands in Sweden incl. ECLIPSE & TIMESCAPE. Drums are now handled by Andreas Johansson (ROB ROCK).

In September 2005, DIVINFIRE for the first time have toured Japan. A new chapter has begun!
