For those unfamiliar with them, The Tour Bus is a radio show picked up by several stations in the US and is rapidly gaining popularity.
This release comes in co-operation from local label Pulse Records (mail order company Impulse Music).
This good fun release captures some totally acoustic live performances of visiting 'live in the studio' guests - which, when you read through the song list, is pretty impressive!
Fans of the artists involved and of totally stripped back unplugged performances are te ones that will get the most from this.
As for the individual performances, they are all very good, but the outstanding ones includes a very passionate Danny Vaughn on Soldiers & Sailors, a Paul Laine version of the Danger Danger classic Naughty Naughty, Ted Poley doing his best on his AOR gem Missing You, plus spirited versions of tracks by Mike Tramp (Better Off), Stryper (You Won't Be Lonley) and Westworld (Suicide).
A good all-round various artists release.
BOTTOM LINE: A good value release for collectors of this genre and for fans of the artists involved. All fully acoustic tracks, the song selection is excellent and always enjoyable. Volume two should be considered when ready.
