You can't argue with the passion of Funny Money.
Fronted by ex-Kix vocalist Steve Whiteman, the band have considerable live experience and have endeavoured to capture it here.
In between tracks from the band's first 2 albums is two new tracks, performed live and included here as a bonus for fans. A nice move.
The opening track is a double header, so there's 10 track sin total featured here, which means there is no padding and no assing about.
It's just 40 minutes of straight up old fashioned AC/DC style hard rock.
The production is solid - basically the band are captured at their raw, live best. But the mix and sound capture is good, so there's no problem like other releases that sometimes sound like a glorified bootleg.
BOTTOM LINE: I doubt this will gather any new fans, but the real purpose of it is to give loyal fans a taste of a band they might not been able to see live locally and a souvenir for those that could.
A good energetic live release that provides fans with something to hang on to in between studio releases.
