I DONT BELIEVE IT , WHERE IS THE ALL TIME GREATEST INTO TO THE GREATEST ROCK ALBUM OF ALL TIME , WHY ITS "DEATH ON TWO LEGS" BY QUEEN OF COURSE. WHAT AN INTRODUCTION TO THIS MASTERPIECE,THE PIANO IS TOTALLY AMAZING,THE GUITARING IS BREATH-TAKING,AND WHAT FOLLOWS IS MINDBLOWINGLY ORIGINAL.
IF THIS WERE THE ONLY REASON FOR TRYING THIS ALBUM OUT THEN IT WOULD SUFFICE.WHO ELSE COULD HAVE A PERFECT HIT SINGLE INSIDE A COMPLETELY DIVERSE ALBUM,WHICH JUST HAPPENS TO CONTAIN THEE PERFECT INTRO. THESE BOYS KNEW HOW TO ROCK.

08/03/02: gregg - martoreg@charlespratt.com
Rainbow: Tarot women

27/02/02: Lance Rushing - lrushing007@mac.com
1. Stryper - "To hell with the devil" (Abyss) (eerie intro that leads into the most explosive song ever)
2. Lillian Axe - "Love & War" ("All's fair in love and war".....she was nineteen, hair black as night, she flashed her eyes, man, she could see right through my soul, legs up to here, I had no idea...I had no idea............................................ this band & album ROCKS like few other)
3. House of Lords - " House of Lords" (Pleasure Palace)" (with the majesty of Giuffria's trademark layered sound and one killer group of musicians...)
4. Queensryche - "Operation Mindcrime" (welcome to the madness...the #1 concept album of all time)
5. Europe - "The Final Countdown" (AWESOME... possibly the coolest & catchiest intro of all time)
6. Bride - "Snakes in the Playground" (Rattlesnake) (classic Christian hard rock album that gets knee deep in the grit & leaves you convicted )
7. Bonfire - "Strike X" ("Revelation day/Under blue skies"...... an intro that gives you something to think about)
8. Dokken - Back for the attack" (Kiss of death...searing guitar...Lynch at his best)
9. Mr. Big - "Lean into it" ("Daddy, brother..... (the electric drill song)(let's crank it up Mr. Gilbert)
10. Holy Soldier - "Holy Soldier" (The Stranger/See No evil.... a deadly one-two punch that will put you down on the mat

As for the worst.......as much as I love the music of Jean Beauvoir and Crown of Thorns, I am still wondering why he opened such an incredible album (Destiny Unknown) with such a lame intro (the dialogue was horrific).

28/01/02: Fulvio Eynard - fox7@libero.it
House of Lords - O Father

08/01/02: Sirhomer - 4homer@sympatico.com
Deep Purple-Knocking at your back door

26/09/01: paul - pmith@hotmail.com
Id say Europes countdown album does it for me,as the b side is as good opening up with cherokee, while others like Bon jovis let it rock from slippery when wet and whitesnakes still of the night of 87 are also a must.Europe must come on top thoe as you only have to hear the intro to the single prisoners in paradise from the albim prisoners in paradise to agree.

25/09/01: mark - allgas@another.com

"Communication Breakdown"-Led Zeppelin , "Highway Star" -
Deep Purple , "Detroit rock city" - Kiss , "Don't tell me
you love me" - Night Ranger , and "Blood on the Bricks" -
Aldo Nova . Got one from the 60's two from the 70's , one

17/08/00: Andre - ahms2000@hotmail.com
Listen to "Breathe fire" intro from FM's Aphrodosiac.....

05/08/00: frank - jrnyfanatl@aol.com
My favorite album intro's....hmmm....1. Bon Jovi "Lay Your Hands On ME" from New Jersey(great to turn up LOUD on the car stereo and really hear the surround affect!!) 2. Brian May "Ressurection" from his 1st? solo album (Cozy Powell fantastic drum intro blows me away!) 3. Kiss "Psyco Circus" (great build-up to a great song!) 4. Journey "Message of Love" from Trial By Fire (Steve Perry's wierd vocal intro really kicks this song into gear!!) 5. Storm's "in The Raw"-Steve Smith-wow!

28/07/00: Edwin - jurgh@chello.nl
best intro's ever? huh.....has to be either Giuffria's "Do me right", House of Lords' intro's to "O Father" or "Plleasure palace".....hmmmm....pretty much says enough about the outstanding gifted Gregg Giuffria....oh...now we're at it...what about his "Angel's theme" which leads in the awesome "The Tower"....this guy has it all!
But there's also this metalband KAMELOT which has the most awesome introtunes on their albums. Every single one of them is smashing and building up towards a breathtaking climax! Hear it to believe it....they can compete with Europe's best intro ever "The final countdown"....it's all their in the tittle!

20/07/00: Sven - sugarqueen@hotmail.com
Europe's "The Final Countdown" is, of course, great, but I think these two are just that little bit better: "Lights & Thunder", the opening track for White Lion's 'Mane Attraction', and "No More Broken Dreams", the opening of Beggars & Thieves' s/t album. Gotta love that build-up...

23/03/00: PJ "Blade" Allen - pjblade@ratt-n-roll.com
The Greatest Intro To Any Rock Album by far is Motley Crue's "In The Beginning"

19/03/00: Jon Lord - kiss@hfhf.se
Thin Lizzy- Jailbreak
Kiss- All albums

16/03/00: Susumu - sfuku@d7.dion.ne.jp
Most impressive overblown intro of the album ever is Whitesnake's Serpentine album "Still of the Night " is great track for the opening. It remains in my brain even now.

06/02/00: Aku-Matti Kolari - akolari@hotmail.com
Black Sabbath´s Black Sabbath! I can´t believe this one isn´t mentioned here yet, it just sets the perfect mood for the "gloomy and doomy" song and album.

02/02/00: C. Enrique Pimentel Z. - kike_pimentel@hotmail.com
MEGADETH - Countdown To Extinction. This is my best album of all times!!

19/01/00: Mats - matsbruer@hotmail.com
Is there any question?

Europe:s "The finalcountdown"

13/01/00: Declan - decland@nz1.ibm.com
The best song intro ever has to be the introduction to Space Station #5 by Ronnie Montrose.
A distant second is la Grange by ZZ TOP.

Ciao.

28/12/99: The Commish - commish@bigfoot.com
This is an easy one. Revolution Calling, from Operation Mindcrime. Of course, you have to include the intro with the nurse talking to get the full effect.

25/12/99: t.wevers - wevers@muenster.de
Bad Boys Running Wild by The Scorpions - it#s basically just scratching down the strings , but it gives you the shivers just long enought to turn into the killer riff and you´re already amidst a great tune..

19/12/99: alexander siedler - lxs@firemail.de
The best intros ever are:

Bon Jovi "Dead or alive"
Europe "seven doors hotel" (keyboards!!)
Steelhouse Lane " Slaves..."

19/12/99: Tyler McHaley - cowboy1@inx.net
Iron Maiden's "Seventh Son..." Bruce is the best at reciting that kind of poetry. The ending's great, too. Great concept. Dio's "Holy Diver" has a great intro, too, but nothing can beat Maiden's in my book.

08/12/99: Dave G. - guac74@yahoo.com
I always loved the beginning of Van Halen's 5150...."HEEEEELLLLOOO BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAABBBY!!!!!....... US Prime, Grade A Stamp Guaranteed...etc."
It Rocks!!!!

Also, It may not be the beginning of the album, but I always had the cassette of Giant's "Time To Burn", and the beginning of side B, "Smoulder" was an awesome intro to hte title track "Time To Burn". Dan Huff Rocks!!!

And Finally, ya gotta love the intro on Petra's "This Means War!"
Makes ya feel like you're marching right down to kick some Satan behind!!!

19/11/99: Magnus - magnus.beronius@seb.se
"WOULD YOU PLEASE WELCOME FROM.... !"
It has to be "Rock Bottom" LIVE with Michael "The Axeman" Schenker" (I know it's not a album intro, but anyway....) OK - Aldo Nova the album "Subject". Well, the intro is a track and is 'majestic' and is like a Ferrari with 3 turbo's..... !! I'm Out Lights Out---------

16/11/99: alan - alh@dotstar.net
the intro to Dokken's album Tooth and Nail....... Without warning.... pretty damn cool GO GEORGE!!!!!

15/11/99: P.J. - dominion7@yahoo.com
I have two, I have always liked the way Autograph builds up "Turn Up the Radio" for the intro. But, I have to say say Metallica steals the show with the intro to "SANDMAN"....

15/11/99: Ed - emailfored@webtv.net
Rainbow's Finyl Vinyl " Toto i don't think we're in Kansas
anymore " . Ritchie Blackmore is the king of melodic rock

29/10/99: Edbird - edbird@hotmail.com
best album intro would be Van Halen's Mean Street on Fair Warning album. Nothing ever comes close to that... listen to Edward doing his pyrotechnic... wow ! th

25/10/99: Rachael - rjmiller_1978@hotmail.com
Heart - Desire Walks On!

The dark poem and sound effects leading up to a heavy drum roll and crunchy guitar on the song Black On Black do it for me!

25/10/99: Braxton - bbb2449@Aol.com
KANSAS'has one of the best intro's. LIVE AT THE WHISKY!!!!! I really enjoy the loud, and mind blowing sounds of the tornado chasing the truck.

24/10/99: Matt - matt_1979@hotmail.com
The best album intro ever? Would have to be the KISS album, Psycho Circus. The way the eerie, dark carnival music builds up to the gong and the song kicks in with Paul Stanley screaming 'YEAAAAAAAAAH', its enough to send shivers down the spi.

24/10/99: Todd - toddboy@starmail.com
The best intro would have to go to KISS' Detroit Rock City off their 1976 album Destroyer.Great idea having Rock & Roll All Night playing on the car radio.Simply MINDBLOWING!!!!

23/10/99: Darren - kissgodz@hotmail.com
The greatest ever mind blowing intro to any album would have to be KISS' intro to "Detroit Rock City" on their 1976 "DESTROYER" album. It's the first thing I ever heard of them
back in '78 and I've been hooked ever since.PURE GEUS

23/10/99: dogga - beavis1@optusnet.com.au
