How cool is it to hear the great Jeff Keith's vocals again, joined by fellow ex-Tesla guitarist Tommy Skeoch? Too cool. It's been too long. Bar 7 is the second or third incarnation of Jeff and Tommy's post Tesla project and finally we get to hear new music. Joining the guys in Bar 7 are Ray Hinkley on guitars, Steve Smith on bass and Denis Bostok on drums. The life of this volatile outfit is yet to be determined, as Tommy has apparently already bailed. That is exactly why there is no consistency in the US hard rock market these days. But regardless of that, the guys have made a great rock n roll record. This record doesn't touch the golden days of Telsa, as there was a really special chemistry there, but this is the next best thing for sure. | |||

Freaked opens the album with a sonic modern rock blast that might worry a few. It's a cool track, but not representative. 4 Leaf Clover and the excellent acoustic emotion of Got A New Life are far better and will be well liked by any old fans. No Show has once more a more modern and aggressive approach, which should please fans of the more contemporary bands like Union and Hair Of The Dog. Love Is Such and All Natural are both cool emotion filled ballads, while Lady Bug is reminiscent of the best of acoustic driven Tesla. She Don't is a cool aggressive rocker that encompasses the best of both old and new worlds.

Huge Tesla fan, but just picked this up a week or so ago. I like it alot! My fav tracks are "4 leaf clover" & "Cellophane". Its not Tesla ( and it shouldn't be) but damn close, And in todays music scene, what more can we ask for? which brings me to...The most anticipated album of 2004! TESLA- INTO THE NOW- MARCH 9TH! Spread the word!

A good CD, and it does grow on you. Next time I'd like to see some more faster pasted songs added.

I saw the band about 3 weeks ago in St. Petersburg, FL. The show was with Warrant and Ratt. Bar 7 is definitely a awesome reminder of the Tesla days, and I think they have just advanced in the way they have wrote their songs. After the show the guys from Bar 7 gave me a cd, and we hung out with Warrant on their bus. Warrant id due to have another cd due out mid next summer the same style as Cherry Pie. Bar 7 rules, if you can get your hands on it do so!

Very good rock disc. If you like Tesla than this disc is for you. Some of the songs sound a lot like Tesla. It is one of those cd's that grows on you with multiple listens. Bottom line: If you are a Tesla fan, buy it.

I absolutely love it!! I'm a big Tesla fan and I love Jeff!! After having met him twice, he has made a lasting impression on me as a person and as a performer. Bar 7 should not be expected to sound exactly like Tesla, but with Jeff singing, you'll hear a bit of Tesla in it. I think Bar 7 is awesome and am glad that Jeff is still singing for his fans. I think this CD deserves a listen. It's really good and the more I hear it, the more I like it.
