Only had to see "Why Can't This Be Love" at #131 to know this list is a joke and probably not a real opinion. "5150" at # 10?

Not bad, but why listen to this instead of the original?

He's done nothing since leaving Dio that sounds like those three albums imo. It's got nothing to do with being in his 50's...he wasn't that old when he left Dio. He didn't sound the same in Riverdogs, Shadow King, DL,etc...

Viv hasn't done anything like those first three albums since he left Dio.

That was painful to watch. No life to that performance whatsoever.

Ted Templeman for me. Can't beat the sound on those early Van Halen records. I would also add Peter Collins.

Terry, my response wasn't aimed at cover bands, but at bands who do original music and throw a cover song on an album once in awhile. I would rather hear their own take on a song instead of an exact duplicate of it. Cover songs, more often than not, stick out like a sore thumb on an album of original songs (especially if they are well-known songs).

Agree with Figge..they did a great job on the cover, but what's the point. Might as well listen to the original. Reminds me of the time the Far Corporation did a note-for-note cover of Stairway to Heaven. A great job, but ultimately pointless.

Good job. I'm always amazed at people who can jump rope like that. I would be in a full body cast if I tried to do that stuff lol.

Completely agree with your last statement Rkbluez. Fuck those guys on ebay. It seems like everything is getting reissued at some point anyways, so I just wait until whatever I want becomes available at a reasonable price.

Saw him in a small club several years back. Mark Boals only sang 2 or 3 songs then left the stage because he was sick. Yngwie sang the rest of the night and wasn't too bad. I would put him in the Moore/Frehley category.

I like Sykes voice. Kai Hansen from Helloween is another. Great guitarist, but getting Michael Kiske in the band was a great move by them.

Ace Frehley would be the first one that comes to mind. I think Gary Moore had a serviceable voice, but could be crappy at times.

I would add the loss of Steve Clark to that to. His playing and songwriting were a big part of their sound.

I think Blues of Desperation was his best album to date, but this new one sounds like it may be even better. One of the main things that made BOD so good was that he wrote/co-wrote all of the songs. Nice to see him abandon the use of multiple cover songs like his previous albums. I agree that he's a little overexposed, but you can't fault the guy for his work ethic. I'll take a guy who puts al

I don't mind cheesy lyrics, as long as they make sense. When it looks like a bunch of random words and ideas thrown together without any coherence, it ruins a song for me.
