All my hopes for speedy recovery Lou! Probably one the the most Iconic voices of rock. Not too long ago I watched the big interview with Lou and Mick. Its WELL worth I think 2.50 US dollars to download it.

Love Jimi Jamison and Empires what an extremely pleasant surprise. Spun it like crazy. Only non live song I skipped was Im Always Here. I also liked his version of Oceans. Wonder if he had to get permisssion fpr that but never got fully into the female singer in thats song. I see the new version has Keep it Evergreen, a great Holiday song. Will have to see If I can get Never too Late, i

Twitch was a very good album, yeah not a rocking as his before but still really good. Rumours of You will always be my favorite song from him. The only thing that sucks is the video used a very bad lip synched model and not Fiona herself. This was back in the day that a UHF channel had a 24 hour video channel and I was introduced to so much non mainstream AOR songs. miss those days.

Luckily Lou does That was Yesterday often in his concerts. I love the song. And why doesnt Foreigner do Love Has Taken its Toll, Blue Morning, Blue Day, Dirty White Boy and just about nothing from their last two albums with Lou. Would love to see Cant Wait and Turn to Stone live. Does this version of Foreigner even do Sat You Will?

I wonder if the tracks of Journey through Time will ever make the light of day, maybe on here? If so I am all in, if written by some paint by the numbers outside writer nope, even as good as this band is.

What a loss, so sad. I still remember when Ben Orr died when back when and it was one of the first times I was emotionally shaken by the death of a musician I loved. All Prayers go out to his family and friends and the millions of fans he has. Just heard a Cars song yesterday I havent heard in ages on the radio, Dangerous Type, never even knew that was the title, so looked it up yeste

Raised on Radio - Journey I was 14 and Journey/Perry was my world. I biked 50 miles on the release date and bought the cassette. Took it home and listened to it all night. Stood in line for three hours for the tour tix only for my Mom to tell me i could not go cause it was a school night. I had her listen to WCTNGOF and told her it was about the fans. She caved.

I would ask Steve Perry why he didnt tour for Traces. Glad to see him back but kind of a buzz kill to never hear those or his other solo hits sung live in almost 25 years.

It is weird what classifies a band as "hair metal". (or a hair band) Or just hard rock, AOR rock, heavy metal or just rock. And no the very POP album Hysteria should not be anywhere in the top 20. The much more rocking Pyromania should be in the top 5.

In retrospective, Roth talking the lyrics is better than 95% of the other residencies who lip synch. But still wouldnt pay a dime.

If Sambora is involved to at least to some degree I will be interested. I may be in the minority here, but my favorite is their debut. And 7800F is good too. For me they went downhill on the VERY cheesefest Slippery when Wet.

A good attempt but like Perry and others, no one touches Jamison. I loved the grittiness of Too Hot to Sleep. But it also has some very melodic moments like Desperate Dreams, and there are no over the top power ballads.

This is another example of a Journey album with Bolton singing lead. Heck, in addition to Schon and Cain playing on most tracks (I and think in one video) even Mike Baird (Which I never understood how he got to be a touring member of Journey) and Randy Jackson. And didnt he sing with Journey at the 1987 Bammies?

If it wasnt mentioned above, Harry Chapin - Taxi. Three Wooden Crosses -Randy Travis I seeing that some choices above to me are not truly story songs. For me a story song is where they kinda talk and sing a story. A great example of this "Patches" by Clarence Carter.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M_LQ4_MhDu4 Honorable mention for an only takling story song.

Wasnt Mickey Thomas supposed to replace Perry in 1984 when he initially refused to go back? I love Jimmy Barnes and Freight Train Heart is basically a Journey album with his lead vocals but I cant imagine him singing Open Arms and Faithfully every night, among others. Also wasnt there rumors that Michael Bolton was going to replace Perry in 1987? But they decided to do the Bad English thi

Looking at Guiffria's Wiki page I knew "I Must be Dreaming" was written by an outside writer but I never knew it was a cover song. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_uwYPVHByiw

Not familiar with Angels' music, but always thought it was synthesizer led like Guiffria's music. I know Gregg is no longer in the band? It's a good song though, will have to check out Angel.

Just getting back into this band. The Marty Balin and Mickey Thomas era. But I wonder why, at least on terrestrial radio, they next to never get played. Maybe Jane once in a blue moon. I hear fooled around and fell in love tons more then anything JS did. And yeah, maybe because the very commercial success of "Starship" effected this. AOR radio played their songs to death ba

Good album but a couple of skips. Saw him live on this tour with Krokus. My favorite will always be Standing Hampton. Not a skip on the CD and some really awesome songs. I hesitated to get this album cause I thought "Heavy Metal" was the Felder song which I never did like. But Hagar's song rocks, co-written by Jim Peterik . I was VERY surprised after listening to Hampton how man

Like Said above, their first 3 albums sound like two different bands. Walsh's songs that were more pop and Livgren which were this epic proggy songs. But some real good stuff in their. I like Leftoverture a lot but never got into Magnum Opus to much which takes up most of one side of the album and is mostly an instrumental. My favorite is Point of Know return. I think that is Walsh/Livgren

Firehouse is a great band. They died quickly to the grunge scene in 1992-3. I was shocked that they were playing sport bars about 10 years for a 10 dollar cover. Especially when they had 4-5 top 40 hits. I always liked their rockers more then the ballads. All She Wrote is my favorite.
