FUCK was without a doubt the best Van Hagar release. The Van Hagar lineup in full stride. Balance had good and bad songs and thus was an uneven affair. Given that Ed kicked Sammy out after the release, the uneveness may be explained.

Michael Anthony returning seems so effing unlikely. The only case I see that is if Wolfie quits, which seems even more unlikely. If Michael Anthony does return, Sammy would entertain returning as well. That probably would be over DLR's dead body.

Google says yes. Hard to believe the second one only sold 35,000 (or maybe Sammy was using hyperbole?)

My bad. I was just a babe when they were big. I had incorrectly thought that Clapton, Beck and Page were all in the group at the same time.

WRT the read more links, they only work for me when the initial part contains enough info for me to click through. Some of the front page article appear to be word-for-word marketing from record labels. They tease and then slow reveal, which does not work with the "read more", since I will not click through. Maybe the record labels will need to change their marketing copy to fast rev

QuoteMR.com Robin Trower would leave the security of Procol Harum to embark on a solo career fashioned around an R&B trio that in April of 1974 would produce their second album, the monster effort Bridge of Sighs. I know this someone else's copy but ... R&B trio? as in Rhythm and Blues? Like James Brown, Ray Charles, Stevie Wonder, Aretha Franklin, Marvin Gaye, Sam Cooke, etc.? Blue

Or maybe any band that got famous in the 90s or later? Methinks genre labels for bands are for the mentally lazy. Most bands I enjoy work in more than one genre. Woof!
