Great interview. Thanks for posing the link. It always seems like when Sammy does an interview he always fields a lot of =vh= questions. Sammmy is excitable and the reporters know if they push Sammy enough he will say something stupid. Sammy claims in this interview that he is always putting his foot in his mouth. In this interview at least, he gave very measured responses to the =vh= ques

I did some surfing after reading Gary Cherone thread and listening to Warner Bro =vh= demos from MR-Xtra. I came across this Unreleased Van Halen Projects. Wiki articles lists demo names and where they eventually landed, mentions Mitch Malloy's audition songs, and finally the track list form Gary Cherone's second =vh= album. Cool stuff.

I liked Chickenfoot better than ADKOT. I also liked the last Mr. Big better than ADKOT. I hope that DLR brings in other song writers to help in the next =vh= album, if there is one.

Fred, The last ChickenfootCD, III, kicks some serious ass. Compares very nicely with Sammy's 1997-2002 solo work. Sammy brought game. He knew people would compared III to ADKOT and he does not disappoint. Woof!

My all time favorite =vh= album is the first one, by far. My favorite Van Hagar is FUCK. Solid end to end. IMO this is when Van Hagar hit full stride. I also like Balance, but there was something a bit out of sync. In retrospect, their manager had started to drive Hagar out, so that tension affected the product. Balance does have one of my favorite Van Hagar tunes, Feelings, which had
