If you find out tell me. Other than a random show here and there, I can't seem to find it.

a) Are you guys saying that Schon did a cover of Follow You? Or that he just worked on that song? B) You missed Bam! in your playlist. Love that one. The whole "Welcome to Hollywood" album is great acually, the only song that sounds dated is "Roses".

You can listen to the whole thing here. I feel like I've heard this guys name before but after reading his Wikipedia entry I don't think I've ever actually heard his stuff. The bio says that he has experimented with different styles (death, thrash, industrial) and some stuff more like this release which is more melodic yet still heavy. Can anyone tell me which of his other stuff is more like t

I knew it: QuoteHearing familiar, favorite music stimulates the release of dopamine, the neurotransmitter involved in pleasure and addiction, providing the same rush as eating chocolate or that winning does for a compulsive gambler I don't know where I heard this but the moment I did I knew it was true: the best era of music is whenever you were a teen.

Hell yes. Kicks ass.... and gets me a whole lot more excited for their album than "Tattoo" did for the VH album.

Interestingly Eddie has addressed something people often complain about: the fact that it's called That Metal Show and they have very little real metal featured. He said it was the higher ups at VH1C who said no to most of it. I notice that both the other 2 dudes go out of their way to talk about thrash or death metal bands (or wear their shirts). Eddie has said point blank he's more on the hard

I appreciate what Eddie does for the scene - he's keeping this type of music in front of people. I just looked in iTunes for it and it's showing up as a $2.99 download. Not that that's a lot of money, just letting folks know it's no longer free.

Joe, we can (and do) rag on hair bands who are all about the look and not about the music. I'm all for musicians working to project the image they want - just do it alongside honing your craft, please.

I need to vent about this and I know you guys will understand. A few weeks back the SNL musical guest was this chick called Lana Del Rey. I watched her performance, having zero idea who she was, and thought she was horrible - not only is her style of music not my thing, she was just a bad performer. There was a whole lot of brouhaha online with people trashing her and others defending her.

I know too many people who do #13. Drives me nuts and I refuse to feed into the drama. I have one friend who does this PLUS a bunch of the others... I am trying to figure out how to keep her at arm's length yet not totally ignore her because she is not a bad person, she just has annoying habits.

Eddie Trunk just Tweeted with a #vhnyc hashtag, so if you want to follow news that might be a good one to monitor. Last post from Eddie says he hears streets around the venue will be closed. Unsurprising - Cafe Wha is in the west village where the streets are very narrow and easily get backed up. I'm sure there will be a huge crowd there just hoping for a look even though there's no hope of ge

I know that I definitely allow personalities affect my purchases. I wish I could say "it's all about the music!" but I know all too well that after a good - or bad - experience with a musician that I carry that feeling forward and it can be a deciding factor for me.

Did he learn nothing from Congressman Anthony Weiner? I didn't follow any of the links (here at work) but I assume this was sent to yet a different chick than the one who he claimed was his soulmate mere months after marrying the latest wife?
