Jeez some people just can't let this go. Lawrence Gowan is an excellent performer and the rapport and team spirit within the band is there for all to see. DDY did not want to tour any longer, the band did. What were they meant to do ? Please just leave it. DDY's legacy is awesome and for the most part while he was with Styx, they were also awesome. That was a long time ago and to be very hone

Never heard of Venice ? Well you need to rectify that. IMHO the best vocal band on the planet. Very much styled on vocal bands such as CSN & Y and The Eagles and fronted by two sets of brothers by the name of Lennon. Three of the guys were on backing vocals during Roger Waters tour. I've attached a wonderful live version of Hideaway Hill from their first album. Enjoy !!! http://youtu.be/Uj

U2 were good that day but Queen litterally blew everyone else off the stage. Just about every other artist who played on both sides of the Atlantic also felt the same. They took the day very seriously and it was obvious how much rehearsal they had put in. Nobody though could have predicted the audience reaction however, it was sensational and will live in my memory forever. What should also be re

Nik it wasn't so much opening a debate on Ale's merits and abilities, it was the way the OP constructed his post. It was deliberately antagonistic and he then baited Paul Logue later in the thread. Constructive debate is enjoyable and informative and to be honest there is not enough of that these days. The post was personal and rude and certainly got my back up. Am I a huge fan of everything Ale

I never mentioned buying tickets for the front row other than the fact I was lucky enough to secure front row tickets for Toto. The tickets available to me for Fleetwood Mac were for row V which is 22 rows from the front!!! The cheapest tickets on sale are £72.80 (including booking fee), which I personally feel is very expensive. Just for clarity I am not moaning about ticket prices in general,

I checked on Ticketmaster and there were tickets available for row V which granted is within the best available category but the cost is certainly £140 per ticket(including booking fee). I know that is the top price and there are cheaper tickets but anyone who knows the Hydro also knows that the cheaper seats are pretty far back in the arena. Either way pretty expensive. The gig is on Wednesd

Never seen this iconic band before so when I heard they had announced an extra date in Glasgow I thought it would be a great chance to get to see them. Now I know it's all about supply and demand but £140 for a ticket !!! In this day and age I think that's a ridiculous amount to charge for a ticket and it's no wonder the venue in nowhere near sold out. To put it into perspective the cost fo

I love the vibe of this band and always end up with a smile on my face after listening to them. The new cd doesn't have anything as good as Siberian Queen or Transatlantic Blues but I actually think it is a more consistent album than the debut and for that reason I prefer it. I have to say tho Terry that you must be much more discerning than me because I have absolutely no problem with the sou

Yes Irwin me and my Mrs travelled down to see them at Newcastle City Hall in March 2007 and then over to Manchester Apollo to see them the next night. BK was really poor and to be honest the band looked as if they were going through the motions. Greg Phillinganes was on keyboards and Leylan Sklar was on bass.

Some people on this board still feel he should be Totos front man. I last saw BK fronting the band approx 8 years ago and he was extremely poor then. His legacy with the band is superb but he should have had the dignity to retire years ago. The band sound and look a million times better with Joseph Williams as the front man.

Ok Darren have you now watched the spoof version. I thought it was hilarious. The original was magnificent but this is just a bit of fun. I'm surprised I've not heard from Can Man.

I now know what's wrong dude.. You are getting old and cranky, lighten up man !!! Lol !!! Do yourself a favour Terry and forget the sonics and just get back to the basics and enjoy the tunes. Some of the mixes in classic albums of the 70s are awful but I tell you what, never stopped me loving the music.

I love this new album and tracks like Spanish Ghosts and The Heather Reports are sensational. However .......Demon Princess contains the following lyrics ...... She's a dancer from a wealthy family. She treats me like a dog but still I'm barking up her tree. Aowwwwwwwwwww !!!!!!

Totally agree with you Bluesman. I was there that night at Barrowlands and they came roaring onto the stage with some cracking riffs and we all thought Wow !!! Then JH opened his voice and we all thought Aw Naw !!!! I also saw him fronting Hot Legs and I've never heard or seen a band take so much flak from an audience. If they float your boat fine, they just do nothing for me. Re the Toto son
