Fair point Mike and I also know the frustration of several gigs taking place in the same town/city on the same evening. Doesn't take away from the fact that a band that certainly has had a higher profile than some, playing on a Saturday night and charging £12.00 for a 3 band package, only attracted 55 people. Extremely dissapointing.

Woody I didn't take your post personally, far from it. I know how much you support the genre mate and totally respect your opinion. I was however responding to Mike and Matt. Seems I posted my surprise at you not having heard of CIS before you clarified your point Matt. Anyway to clarify my stance, I am not on my high horse about this. I am however extremely frustrated that a band of such quality

A lot of good points made and although I agree with some of the points, I also feel apathy plays a part as well. Two points to address. Firstly Mike, I hope that wasn't a dig at me. I go as often as I can and catch a wide variety of acts. I've actually got 8 gigs lined up in November, with some being the first time I have seen the artist. Matt, I'm sorry if you visit this site regularly, how

What an absolute privilege to see and hear such a talented bunch of musicians. It is very rare these days to get to see such high quality up close and personal. Brilliant musicians. Quality vocals. Wonderful stage presence and rapport with the crowd. Please if you get the chance to see them, do yourself a favour and catch them at a venue near you. Quite honestly with 45 years of gig attending und

As I said Adolfo a lot of work has gone into it but I find it terribly pretentious with no soul. I most certainly do not see the beauty in it but that is the beauty of music. Variety and tastes. Glad it floats your boat.

Glad you enjoyed the show Terry. They really are an exceptional band live. Particularly now that they have dumped most of the bloated solos from around 10 years ago, which I felt interrupted the momentum of the show. I know I am biased, but they are peerless and it is an honour to watch and listen to such a talented bunch of musicians. I sincerely hope they come back to the UK some time soon.

FFS grow up man. I know you like the band so stop your constant assumption making. I know you like the music and I know that in general you are a fair minded person. But I think if you ask most people on this board they would tell you that they felt you had a bee in your bonnet about the sound quality of XIV. The evidence is the amount of posts you have made about it, for example this thread whic

No but you are most certainly the one who goes on and on about it the most. Do you know something, there was a musicians seminar last year and I have it on good authority that the cd played most over the speakers was Toto XIV. Obviously played so that all the musos in attendance could discuss the sonic horrors offending their ears !!?? "Me I'm done" really !! I won't hold my breath d

Terry do you never get tired of the sound of your own voice ? Will you please do most of us a big favour and just accept that some people have a different opinion to you on this subject. Oh and for the record I am not easily pleased.

I take it you were not that impressed either Machinehead ? Probably wise you got a bus back. I was driving that night back to Glasgow and it took me well over an hour just to get out of the venues car park.

Showing my age again but I saw them at Ingliston near Edinburgh in 1979. Big air craft hanger of a place, which I don't think helped. I was so excited about seeing them but after the band starting off like a house on fire I remember being rather underwhelmed by the whole experience. I also remember that a lot of people either spent most of the night in the bar or left early. I put it down to a ba

It's great that an event like this is happening in Scotland never mind Ayrshire, but the timing ??? It also coincides with the Edens Curse UK tour. I hate to say it but the dates chosen are a recipe for disaster attendance wise. I don't know all the ins and outs of booking dates but surely more care should be taken. I would love to go but given the amount of gigs I am already attending, whic
