Received my copy of Delta V yesterday and been on constant rotation. Outstanding release and one heck of a sound for a three piece. As you said, very fresh sounding and keeps delivering secrets after repeated plays. Thanks Act !!!

I first saw Wishbone during their Argus tour way back in 1972 after having bought that album. As a youngster in these days I was into everything "heavy" and Wishbone introduced me to a more melodic style of rock music. They will always be in my top five bands of all time and I love all of their output upto and including Number The Brave. With the exception of Nouveaux Calls I don't thin

I know I've posted about this chap before but felt I had to again after watching Wishbone Ash at The Ferry in Glasgow last night. IMHO Andy Powell is one of the greatest rock guitarists of all time and it was just wonderful to watch him with his band still producing the goods after 47 years. I would never say that he is the greatest of vocalists but who cares when he produces guitar playing such

Really does not bother me at all and in fact I think it adds a certain charm to what they bring to their music. I've never understood the criticism and would always counter by asking, would you prefer the bands/artists to sing in their native language ?

Same for Glasgow. Ticket site states that due to circumstances beyond their control the UK dates are being rescheduled. Anyone who purchased pre sale tickets will find they are still valid for the rearranged dates.

What Gill said. I was at the same gig and there were many likeminded people doing the same. Also Disturbed at the same venue in Glasgow. I lasted till the second song. Just not my type of music. Ironically Shinedown were the support band that night and they were awesome.

Personally I am really dissapointed in the lack of Andrews reviews. It's affecting me badly and I am having difficulty sleeping. I mean ffs when is he going to get round to reviewing Slippery When Wet and Hysteria not to mention Escape. Oh and when oh when will he get round to reviewing the episode of Dallas when we discovered who shot J.R. I mean, really. Very poor Andrew, you should be ashamed

Wow Terry I am totally shocked by those two. Operation Mindcrime would be one of the 12 albums I was allowed to take to a desert island with me. Hysteria is just chock full of superb songs. I've got to say mate, there is absolutely nothing dissapointing about those two albums, nothing at all. My dissapointing albums go back a bit in time. Wishbone Ash - Locked In Uriah Heep - Conquest B

Hard for me to comment as I am rather biased. I felt Mindfields was a bit bloated but in the main I feel Toto's albums are perfect. Surprise, surprise !!! As for shorter albums, I feel 45 minutes is just fine, I suppose it's really down to the content of the album. As I've stated already though, the new Mecca album is way too short and I personally do not feel gives value for money. Oh and yes I

Probably been discussed before but I had my I Pod on random today and I was reacquainted with my favourite pure AOR release. The majestic Loud and Clear by Signal from 1989. To me it just oozes class with no fillers in sight, with the vocals of Mark Free just lifting the music to a different level. https://youtu.be/STJmQ0bMIHA https://youtu.be/m2sxQFp_8s4 https://youtu.be/C4zdqjjnKbU

Glad it was a great gig although I feel really sad today in the realisation that it's all over. Thanks for the memories and the legacy guys. Something I've noticed a lot in recent years is the amount of people who decide to talk all the way through the gig. Usually aided by a couple of beverages. I overheard a guy at the Sabbath gig in Glasgow constantly going on about previous Sabbath gigs he h

I think most Sabbath fans would have preferred Bill to at least have made an appearance Mark. Given that most 70s bands have only 1 or maybe 2 original members in their line up, the fact that Sabbath have 75% of the original line up, his omission didn't put me off in the slightest. Glad you enjoyed Tyketto but for me there was absolutely no decision to make. Wonderful evening.

I know David, I've been asking the same question for a while now. Don't know what the answer is but more time should be taken when gigs are being booked. On a positive note, it's much better than it was back in the 70s and 80s when we used to complain that very few bands came north of the border.

What a fantastic night with The Gods of Heavy Metal. Me and my daughter bought tickets for the Golden Circle so we were right down at front middle, which although a bit daunting for a man of tender years, I wouldn't have missed for the world. The atmosphere was electric and the venue almost a total sell out. Given Sabbath were the first band I ever saw live, way back in 1972, I felt it only fi

Wasn't a huge fan of her music or her voice but went along to see her and her band in Glasgow last night. The term world class is used too liberally in my opinion but this girls guitar playing is world class. I was totally blown away by her talent and it was wonderful to watch an artist so obviously enjoying performing her music. If she is playing near you, make sure you go and see her you will n
