FFS grow up man. I know you like the band so stop your constant assumption making. I know you like the music and I know that in general you are a fair minded person. But I think if you ask most people on this board they would tell you that they felt you had a bee in your bonnet about the sound quality of XIV. The evidence is the amount of posts you have made about it, for example this thread whic

No but you are most certainly the one who goes on and on about it the most. Do you know something, there was a musicians seminar last year and I have it on good authority that the cd played most over the speakers was Toto XIV. Obviously played so that all the musos in attendance could discuss the sonic horrors offending their ears !!?? "Me I'm done" really !! I won't hold my breath d

Terry do you never get tired of the sound of your own voice ? Will you please do most of us a big favour and just accept that some people have a different opinion to you on this subject. Oh and for the record I am not easily pleased.

I take it you were not that impressed either Machinehead ? Probably wise you got a bus back. I was driving that night back to Glasgow and it took me well over an hour just to get out of the venues car park.

Showing my age again but I saw them at Ingliston near Edinburgh in 1979. Big air craft hanger of a place, which I don't think helped. I was so excited about seeing them but after the band starting off like a house on fire I remember being rather underwhelmed by the whole experience. I also remember that a lot of people either spent most of the night in the bar or left early. I put it down to a ba

There are so so many but off the top of my head here are a few Mitch Malloy - Our Love Will Never Die Survivor - Across The Miles Alan Parsons - Old And Wise Toto - Lea Toto - Out Of Love Toto - Simple Life Phantasma - Try Gosh I could go on and on Hey Darren great topic but do you know something as a huge Heep fan, I never got the love for Free Me. In fact I was underwhelmed by th

It's great that an event like this is happening in Scotland never mind Ayrshire, but the timing ??? It also coincides with the Edens Curse UK tour. I hate to say it but the dates chosen are a recipe for disaster attendance wise. I don't know all the ins and outs of booking dates but surely more care should be taken. I would love to go but given the amount of gigs I am already attending, whic

Totally agree with you here Terry. I absolutely loved Cornerstone and still do but I only liked Paradise Theater in patches and would certainly not include it anywhere near my top 5 Styx albums.

Terry I will need to revisit some of this bands earlier releases. I bought From The Greenhouse after reading a review by Derek Oliver way back in 1989 and thought it was one of the worst albums it had ever been my misfortune to listen to. In fact the song Monkeyboy is absolutely cringeworthy and should have been banned it was that bad. I really gave the album a chance but ended up getting rid of

Dear oh dear, what a bunch of old women !!! Lol !!! The band are working on a new album of "original material" As a fan since the 70s I welcome this news and my only concern , is that it is worthy of their legacy. I am sure there will be a certain gentleman just itching to post on this subject. Please don't give him any more encouragement guys. Oh and WITS, what is wrong with a s

Darren they completely ruined the song. Emerald is an energetic aggressive rocker about warriors running down from the valleys to do battle. Dare turned the song into a dirge. Complete sacrilege !!!

Cmon Terry spill the beans we all want to know. Re Gary Thain. Well he died a very young man and was surely only going to get even better. Secondly I have read from many musicians over the years that they rated him top of the pile.
