This is terrible news. Its always very sad when anyone dies, but when its someone from one of your all time favourite bands it actually hurts. I had the privilege of seeing Trevor playing on numerous occasions and he was truly a magnificent musician. I had read just recently that he had set a deadline for when he was returning to the band, so the fella must have been optimistic about recoverin

Totally agree re Foreigner Terry. Foreigner with Kelly Hansen are a completely revitalised band. There were some rumours that Lou Gramm may be touring with Mick Jones again and I know this is a controversial thing to say, but I sincerely hope it is not true. Just read Classic Rock and I think its false. No harm to Lou Gramm as he was fantastic and an integral part of the Foreigner story but Kelly

Stu glad you enjoyed it and your opinion is as valid as anyone else's. I read another review posted somewhere else and that person thoroughly enjoyed the show, in particular Journey. I cant change my mind though and to be honest with you, I've been attending gigs since 1973 and Saturday nights performance by Journey is one of the worst I have seen from a headlining act in all these years. IMHO of

Well what a coincidence Bluesman, section DD. For confirmation we had the pissed as farts, husband and wife duo in front of us who did their best to ruin the show for everyone, which included soaking the girls in front of them with beer. Anyway, pleased to meet you. Your comments are spot on and I agree with everything you say except having now seen Arnel 3 times now, I really feel he is a ver

Positives first Looked like nearly a sell out in a large hall. Thunder good solid performance but sound was not particularly good. Whitesnake easily won the battle of the bands. Other than the solos which I could personally do without, the band were immense. Forevermore and Still of the Night were just sensational and they left the stage with the large crowd on a high. Now the negativ

Just a shout out to see who else is going on Saturday and maybe catch up for a few beers with me Paul, Drew and Stevie. Should be a superb evening. Im reliably informed that you will see and hear Mr Logue at the bar screaming "Ere's A Beer For Ya !!!"

They are without doubt the best vocal band on the planet. 3euros is a bargain, but Amsterdam is certainly not one of their better releases. My favourites are Venice 1990 : Born and Raised 1997 and Welcome to the Rest of Your Life 2002. Most releases are excellent but I don't think the last two official releases, Amsterdam and Pacific Standard Time stack up with the rest of their material. The li

Brilliant guys, thanks for the heads up. Ill need to investigate. Oh and 2112, Mark I think your name is mate. If so I think I'm meeting up with yourself and some of Mr Logue's cronies before and after the Journey/Whitesnake/Thunder gig next Saturday in Glasgow. Should be an excellent evening.

Paul you are a star !!! Having read your review in Fireworks of the new cd by the young Canadian band, Inner Odyssey, I ordered the cd, which arrived to day. Holy Carony !!! Utterly sensational. I've just played it once coming home to night and I nearly crashed the car. Strong Dream Theater and Metallica influences but the songs and the riffs are wonderful. My fave track so far is Blank Sheet Sy

I know I know. There is so much stuff out there its hard to keep tabs sometimes. As you probably know Im a big Nightwish fan, but I only found out about them when they sacked Tarja. Ive now got the full Nightingale catalogue and am just loving what I am hearing. Some other bands I need to check out now. What about Toto and Journey, are they any good ? Lol !!!!

Thanks to one of my mates I've just heard of this band from Sweden. I don't think they have recorded anything since 2007 but I am going to explore their catalogue. Utterly sensational prog metal. I've put a couple of songs on here as a taster. Terry K, I think this may be right up your street. Anyone else impressed ? http://youtu.be/h3zioXJGG6g http://youtu.be/lLFzyqRXhx8
