This was up for debate a while ago. Some interesting comments here: http://forums.stevehoffman.tv/threads/question-about-tom-petty-live-vocals.225438/

I'm not saying that he's using an autotuner, but to me it sure sounds like that on the choruses, especially at 2:42 and 3:50. Btw, sometimes a sound tech use these tools without asking the singer for permission, also in a live setting.

I would much rather have seen a new album by Crimson Glory with La Torre... the demo "Garden of Shadows" is far, far more to my liking than a Queensryche with that slightly industrial sound... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NdUEN12GT78

Paul Shortino is a truly great singer & Wants You is actually one of my favourite "hairy" album from the 80's... Don't know why... but Wants You always puts me in a good mood whenever I listen to it... may not be the greatest collection of songs..but the excellent vocals, the excellent drumming etc... it really works for me, big time. Sorry. :-) Rough Cutt may have been a bit too g

I just checked out some clips on youtube. Very, very, very impressive stuff. The word "epic" seems like an understatement... Can't wait to crank this up on my stereo.

I saw him perform a a private gig a few years ago (without knowing anything about him) and was very impressed. I have bought some of his albums after that, and I really like his style. A lot of those who play acoustic guitar (in a folky way) seem to know of his works, at least his "hit" Heartsong... I tend to get more impressed by a master of an acoustic instrument than by the "tr

Happy for Queensryche... and I understand why Todd La Torre jumped onboard... however I must say that I look much more forward to the new Crimson Glory album. If La Torre someday will have to choose between the two bands I hope he stays with CG... but that's of course easy for me to say since I'm not the one who pays his rent. :) Here's a demo from the upcoming Crimson Glory album: http://www.

I love this album... it's got great songs, great performances (especially the vocals) and the production is spot on. All in all it's pure class. It seems as if they put their hearts and souls into these songs/recordings... there is an air of sincerity that I really like.

Just checked out the clips at Snakecharmer.org I have waited since 84-85 to hear Whitesnake sound like this... I hope Snakecharmer focus on their own material rather than old Whitesnake stuff... cos' if they have songs like http://www.snakecharmer.org/smokinggun_radioeditshort.mp3 then there's no need to look backwards, imho. Brilliant. Neil Murray rules.

If I remember correctly there was a preview of this song posted on the frontpage sometime before the actual promotion started for their first album. I believe that the demo version had a different pre-chorus... cos' I remember being a bit disappointed when I first heard the album version... however I have grown to like it, to say the least... Imho, PoL's Sound of Home is the greatest AOR song of

I like it a lot, even though it doesn't reach the greatness of "The Great Nothing". (That one is the greatest prog track of the last 20-25 years, imho). This one, especially at the start, sounds like a more accesible version of Gentle Giant.

Obama has dropped bombs in 6 countries, Bush bombed 4 countries. There are twice as many U.S. troops in Afghanistan now than on the day Bush left office. Etc. I'd urge anyone who believes that Obama is somekind of peacemaker to read articles like this one: http://www.nytimes.com/2012/05/29/world/obamas-leadership-in-war-on-al-qaeda.html?pagewanted=all and then compare it to speeches like

It's mind-boggling to me that the rock'n roll community, given its anti-establishment roots, has so few outspoken supporters of individual liberty... Ron Keel, John Mayer, Joe Perry and Korn's Jonathan Davis are among those who have declared their support of Ron Paul & his libertarian views. I really can't understand why the libertarian party isn't flooded with famed & anti-authori
