Couldn't disagree more Mike. Maiden will give Shinedown huge UK exposure, and there will be fans of the Floridian band who will buy a Maiden ticket. Both melodic hard rock/metal bands, energetic live. A great fit to me. Also we shouldn't underestimate the esteem in which Maiden are held, by younger bands too, so I have no doubt Shinedown will be thrilled to be on the tour.

This appeared on their FB page earlier this month ; "A lot of you having been asking what's going on with TeamRock Radio. First of all, we need to say sorry that we've not been able to say more up until now. We wanted to get it right, so it's taken time to get a plan together. Thank you for being generous with your patience. The station will go on, and just like before, each week there

Terrific to see a band of their stature doing such an extensive tour, in mid sized venues, with a full stage show. All too easy to play 4 stadium shows, and be off. It's Maiden all over.

LOTR has that great, James Dean inspired sleeve. When it came to TTB, what were they thinking? Very odd and uninspired. At least the music was superb.

Agree. I'm surprised there's so much mileage in this particular thread. A well that you'd pretty soon be running dry I fear...

Apologies, you,re quite right about She Don't Know Me. The Franke track is awfully close to it on the chorus.Perhaps it's just coincidence that Tico Torres played on both tracks.

Goes back much earlier than that Marc. She Don't Know Me from the debut was a lift from You Don't Want Me by Franke & The Knockouts,Tico Tores'previous band. She Don't Know Me https://youtu.be/omLgJe9cnCw You Don't Want Me https://youtu.be/69fAaU5Lnbg Also how about the intro of Breakout, from the BJ debut versus Aldo Nova's earlier Hold Back The Night Breakout https://yo

A real shame. If any folk know how to handle a band reforming, look after them when they come over from North America etc, it's Kieran, Bruce and the team at FF. Here's the story ; http://www.rocktopia.co.uk/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=452:saraya-pull-out-of-firefest&catid=41:latestnews&Itemid=65

That's right enyaw. That Girl acoustic has also been on a previous ep. Just odd that a strong song from that era (Dangerous was amongst the 4 songs they recorded for the BBC1 Radio 1 session they did in 1985), has not been included.

From guitarworld.com "..Sammy Hagar and Michael Anthony’s band the Circle performed a selection of Van Halen songs at what appears to be a fun and rowdy show in Tulalip, Washington, on August 24. The band—which also features Jason Bonham and guitarist Vic Johnson—turned in versions of the Van Hagar-era tracks “Poundcake,” “When It’s Love” and “Dreams,” all of which

Real shame Dangerous is missing - immense song. Say It Like It Is was also a staple of the live set back then. Both songs should have been on the original release - there was plenty of room as it was so short, even for vinyl!
