Another breathtaking live vocal from Stiv. Also, great to hear Jim's note for note solo, including the whammy bar harmonics! Brilliant performance. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lu7KSqbQiMs

I had a word with Laurie about this on Saturday, at the Steelhouse Festival. His son's band The Treatment were on the bill there, and he told me that there was something planned next year. BTW, The Treatment did a very good job on the day; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pbVxp9NYaQk Y&T said they were the best young band they'd seen.

Fascinating how the band were furious with Bono after their set. They feared they'd blown it, as his dancing with the girl from the audience etc meant that they had to drop (Pride) In The Name Of Love, possibly their biggest song at that time.

Great show for sure. Curious how, with all of the live experience the other acts had, no one else thought that a structured, medley type set was the way forward when they only had 20 mins or so.

Great album for sure, but it's Bob Halligan's writing that makes it for me. 3 x solo writes (Missing, Frozen Tears, Raise the Hamner) and 3 co-writes on NOTC.

Ooh, that's interesting. Another lovely player. Tall Ships was a terrific album, seemed to get overlooked somewhat though.

Lukather's brilliant effort on 'Running With The Night' is a great shout. Also worthy of mention in the UK, the late Alan Murphy, who did plenty of superb work on the Go West singles in particular (as well as Level 42). Awesome player. Another couple of neat solos would be on 'The Slightest Touch' by the awful Five Star (Pierre Gauthier I think?), and Nik Kershaw's effort on Chesney's 'The

I am always puzzled when we have this debate. It simply doesn't have to be a 'one or the other' in terms of physical product or streaming. If you buy the CD the artist certainly gains - once. It doesn't matter if you spin it on repeat 24/7, you're not adding more to the band's coffers. However, if you buy the disc, then stream the artists tracks whenever you can, you're hopefully adding a

Nice problem to have when you've got albums and albums worth of great songs to choose from. They have to play the hits, same for Leppard, Journey etc. At their age there is also no doubt consideration given to the pacing of the set, as well as the vocal demands of certain songs. Looking forward to the show on Sunday in Glasgow. I am not a big stadium fan, but I think it's the last time we
