Not sure about Maiden, but Steve's daughter Lauren certainly did dates with the likes of Thunder. Steve's son is also in The Ravenage, who've done some big tours.

Yes, I think so. I mentioned a while back that Kiss could tour in the future without any original members, the make up meaning that people would still go to the shows, hear the songs, and the change of personnel would seem less important. Only the other day Gene said a similar thing. Not saying I'd like it (nor many of us on here I guess) but a brand like Kiss could carry it off.

That's sad to hear. He was a key part of what was some lineup. RIP.

I saw them too Doug and you're right - they were terrific. I just wonder, if it was a band we weren't so keen on, would we be quite so forgiving.

To be fair Doug, even latterly AC\DC toured with Angus, Cliff and Chris Slade. A version of Foreigner without a single original member is a stretch for me, as good as they sound.

Absolutely right. Kelly is terrific, but calling it Foreigner is stretching it.

It's for isolation and separation of sound. Helps the sound mix, as mics don't pick up less spill from the other instruments.

Absolutely. They're not everyone's cup of tea, but when the likes of JSS and Glenn Hughes are getting Nathan up on stage, it is clear his voice is something special.

Totally agree Woody. An hour Glasgow to Edinburgh shouldn't trouble those in the central belt of Scotland. Terrific to see both bands on the road together. I will be there!

It's not a major label tour, so budget will be tight and they're hardly going to sell out Glasgow and Edinburgh. It's only an hour between isn't it?

If you like guitar playing, here's a masterclass. Filmed from the band pit during the pre-Grammy show. You almost feel stagefright as the house band have to hit the cues, across 70 different songs. Superb. https://youtu.be/rRZ9wjIXbtE
