Now i've played the album a number of times, I love it. Including New Day Breakin'.

I'm quite happy with the wall of sound. I've got enough melodic/aor albums with the obligatory slow, and very often boring, paint by numbers ballads, or similar.

I've not heard the Brother Firetribe, but you certainly won't be disappointed with the other two.

Definitely. I don't think I expected the metallic edge it has, and it was certainly a nice surprise!

What a stunning debut album! I'll be surprised if this isn't up there in most people's favourites at the end of the year. "Love Injection" must surely also be up there in the best songs too. Bloody great!

If I kept eating at a restaurant that had awful food, I'd probably find somewhere else to eat. Thank fuck we don't all crave what we ate in the eighties. It wasn't as good as you remember.

What about this for an idea. Start your own label, put your own money into it, sign the quality bands you feel do justice to the genre. I'm looking forward to seeing what you release.

If you'd take the worst of the 80's compared to today's releases the it's hard to take your opinion seriously. If you're going to wear rose tinted specs, make sure the lenses aren't totally opaque..

Anyone who thinks the 80's were so great ought to go back and listen again to some of the supposed great albums of the genre because a fair number of them were far from being so. Really lightweight, tinny production, dire lyrics and and over reliance on keyboards, were just a few hallmarks of the era. I bought most of them and would struggle to

Easily the best British album of the year so far and one of the best full stop. I didn't know anything about Jimi before hearing this but I now know what I've been missing. He really has a fantastic voice and along with his band has produced a stunning album of top, top quality AOR/melodic rock. It's clear where some of the influences come from but there's not a weak link amongst the twelve su

I put a post on here about the dates a number of weeks ago. It's a pity you missed it because they were absofuckinglutely brilliant in Derby last night! Can't wait to see them again when they return in November.

I love the album but then again I never bothered with the first two. Personally, I like Ricky Warwick's vocals. His solo album was one of the highlights of last year for me and I was never previously a fan. I really don't give a shit who does or doesn't like it, I do. Each to their own.

I don't know if anyone else noticed these. I only realised last Saturday night when I saw a poster advertising the Nottingham date when I was in the toilet of the venue! I had to do a double take and make sure I hadn't had too much to drink! http://www.thenewroses.com/tour.html What an opportunity to see a bloody great band at absurdly cheap ticket pric

"Resonate" is stunning, an absolute monster of an album. The opening track "Heavy" is pretty apt way of sunmming up the record but doesn't fully do it justice because, as always with Glenn Hughes, there is so much more on offer. After all these years, his voice is still one of the very, very best out there.

It was a bloody brilliant show and I echo all the good comments above. Dare's set was the real surprise though. I'd gone hoping for maybe a couple of songs from the first two albums and got the first two from "Blood From A Stone" and five from "Out Of The Silence" in succession! The last time I saw them play that many songs from the first album was back in 1989! To say the

I love the band. Their music has a huge amount of variety in it and every album seems to offer something different. For some unknown reason, they came to Derby back in early 2007 and as I never thought I'd get the chance to see them, I jumped at the chance to go. They were fantastic live. Despite them being pretty well unknown in the UK (apart from a minor hit with "Meant To Live")

I've always thought Klear to be a fantastic and massively underrated band. When I first heard them back in 2004 when "Makin Noise" was released, Fred Shafer's voice was the thing that had me hooked straight away and it's a bloody brilliant album I still play regularly and still sounds as fresh now as it did back then. The album has a really cool feel that mixes a classic southern/blues

He can fuck off with any re-scheduled gigs for this tour. The first time was only a few days before the gig and now the same again. Yet again, hotel and train tickets that can't be cancelled meaning a weekend in Birmingham for no reason or a load of money down the drain. He can shove any future dates where the sun don't shine.

FFS! That statement would include half the bands (particularly, Glam) from the eighties that are worshipped on here!

Band-Maid have proper songs that are very good too. "New Beginning" is a great album full of excellent songs from girls who can actually play. And they looK good to. What's not to like?

To begin with I thought it was the strongest thing they've done since the debut. Now it's had a lot of plays, I really think it's their best album, full stop.

I was really disappointed with Magic Mountain and wasn't that enthusiastic about hearing the new album. Thankfully, this is the best thing they've done since the debut and has the sound and energy that's been missing for a long time.
