it was technically supposed to be an album but they were only able to complete 7 songs at the time since they all had other jobs and lived in different places but something was better than nothing. I loved the songs on the album. Really looking forward to this one. It's supposed to be a lot more rocking so I am expecting more of the Debut than I am Bone.

For me it's Eclipse and Tokyo Motor Fist. Probably soon to have Harem Scarem and Riverdogs added to that list.

haha. Go for it. It's not a bad album. There are good song structures and hooks, I just feel it's on the weaker side and not as powerful as some of HOL previous albums. They've always had some really driving beats and tempos on all their albums and I think they are missing a spark on this one. It's too AOR by numbers to me.

I agree with you KidEgo. I love House of Lords but this is a weaker AOR version of their past selves. This sounds more like an 80's beach movie soundtrack than a House of Lords album.

The Big Prize is the only one I own. I don't really care for their other albums and this one does nothing for me.

The drum sound bothers me on one desire. My buddy bought it and we listened to it on a car ride to my doctor today but I just thought it lacked some balls. I like the songs for the most part but it lacks something in the rhythm section for me.

I'm in the minority here. Never cared for them. Probably never will.

My first thought would be the songs that can't be played might be a format that the phone doesn't recognize or that it's not compatible with. Are the ones playing a different format than the ones that do play?

For me Ratt's out of the cellar was the bands Van Halen S/t. They have never topped it, even though I love all the Ratt albums.

To me it's not even in the top 5 guardian albums. Hated the vocals. They were like a stryper wannabe band. Janie Rowe and Karl Ney came on board and changed the band for the better. Fire and Love, Miracle Mile, Swing Swang Swung, Buzz, Bottle Rocket, Almost Home all better than first watch. To me even the yellow and black attack covers album was better.

Def Leppard said the same thing before, then released their self titled album.

I liked the first one better. Always have. Freak of the week got so overplayed I found myself bored with the album real quick. First one was original to me, by the 3rd one they were just going through the motions. Butch can write those songs in his sleep

Thanks Carl. I hope this will get me right. Getting some heart surgery done before it takes me out first. I decided to attack it myself instead of hoping it gets better. Already had one heart attack. I'm not trying to have another. Trying to eat better, exercise more and listen to better music. haha :)

I only get remastered stuff if I can hear a real difference. I don't have a lot of disposable income either with my tons of medical bills the last couple years with another big bill coming in a couple months after another surgery in April. But one good thing...I will have my ipod and all my music at my disposal for the week I'll be in the hospital.

I pretty much rip everything on to my ipod. And I'm sure there is a quality loss, but I really don't care too much about a slight quality loss. I enjoy listening to my favorite music whether it's live, on the radio, in my car stereo, with headphones, satellite TV, my computer, in jukeboxes...the quality range varies with whatever I listen to it on in whatever format I listen to it, but it doesn

I'm quite the opposite. I think they have just enough variety to keep me interested and I still listen to Bleed & Scream and Armageddonize as much today as I did when I first got it. New albums kick them out of the CD player for a few weeks and then It's right back in when the novelty of the new album wears off.

Some of the other songs I heard. Maybe it's just the iTunes clips. Hurt and apologize sounded great but some they almost sounded digital to me and I hate drum machines.

Yeah was a little shocked at that teaser. A little different but that's why I always liked them. None of their early albums were the same.
